Wellstar RN Residency Program 2017

I am looking into the Wellstar RN Residency Program. I was reaching out to anyone who might have ANY information about it or are planning on applying? Thank you!

I didn't get multiple offers only bc they only had managers from the units and hospital I told them was my preference. I have done another interview with them before and had people from the unit I was interested in then and managers from multiple hospitals so it really just depends.You may have managers in the room or via video/phone too. And your paid as an RN but it depends on the unit. But they give shift differentials as well.

Do you know the base pay for ICU? I noticed individuals with job offers as of Jan 2017 at Emory was $24 but Piedmont was $27 and they both have evening and night differentials, so very curious.

I never had or needed any recommendation letters

Wow, that's interesting the nurse manager ask me for 5 references and just asked me March 7th the status of them. Due to a heavy workload in school this week, I told them I'll check on it after class today. HR indicated an offer could not be made without the references, which is interesting.

A letter of recommendation is different than asking for references. They have to have five references if you're not already a wellstar employee.

I just received an email notifying me I received multiple offers from Wellstar at AMC-Downtown for critical care or acute care Neuro/tele. Once I notify her they will get the offer to me.

Congrats! I got several offers as well. I will be doing Cardiac at Kennestone when I graduate!

Hi! I actually got an offer to do cardiac as well at Kennestone once I graduate. I submitted my drug test and background check maybe two weeks ago and still haven't heard anything else. Have you? Or do you think they are waiting until it's closer to graduation. I graduate May 6. Congrats though! I'm really excited!

It's been a while since I've been online because I was studying like crazy and I'm proud to share I passed the NCLEX! I tested Friday, Jun 16th at 2:00 in New Orleans and received my results Monday, June 19th after paying the $7 fee for quick results. I couldn't wait to share the news and I also decided to accept a job offer at the New Orleans UMC , which is a Level 1 hospital in my dream location ICU! This hospital is a teaching facility that opened last year and has amazing technology, so I'll get the opportunity to learn on the latest equipment and in a 21st century facility.

God truly blessed me and although I won't be moving to Atlanta right now, I'm praying after getting a year of experience I'll be fortunate to get an offer at Piedmont next year.

I'm cheering everyone on that hasn't taken their exam yet. Good luck, I started my new job this week and have no doubt we will all be great compassionate RNs soon!!!

if anyone reads this thread, can you tell me what questions they asked at the interview? i have a phone interview coming up this week and really nervous..
