I fell in love with a man from Arkansas and will be moving so it's a good thing I also fell in love with Arkansas too! :heartbeat

I'm an LPN with 20 yrs under my belt and I'm worried about wages. Currently in Mid-Mo and last year I grossed $42,000. I've spent the last couple of hours searching this site and I'm not finding a lot posted on Arkansas wages for LPNs.

The area I'm moving to is Hardy and I'm getting a sneaking suspicion I'm going to have to commute to Jonesboro to work. I'm also looking at schools that would have a Dietetics program.

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated!:nurse:

If you're not opposed to working a nursing home, you will find a decent LPN wage in most nursing homes. The hospital pay for LPNs is sad really. I was an LPN before I was an RN and made around $12 an hour!! Worked my butt off for it too.

I know it has been a long time since this was originally posted, but I wanted to tell you that Shiloh Health and Rehab Center (Springdale) pays their LPNs $19.00 plus .10 for every year of experience PLUS medical and dental insurance benefits! The only reason I know this is because my mother is a resident there, and when they found out that I was in nursing schook, they asked me if I was interested. They are all so nice there....and its a beautiful place. You would never know by walking in the front doors that it is a nursing home!
