Weekly "What Are You Working On This Week?" Thread, May 10th

Published

In keeping with Tasha's original thread, why don't we throw down what we are all doing this week? I know we have a few testing :yeah: !! and a couple are Who is going to workshops? Preparing for CPNE?

I am almost through with the 1st 25% of the LS3 content guide. The required reading in Pharmacology is huge, but there is a good deal of review there! As soon as I get through the 2nd 25%, I am going to start memorizing my Transitions info. I am also in my 2nd week of my online BIO Lab 1 credit course. Lots of work for a 1 credit class!

Good luck to everyone testing this week!!

Congrats Berry on passing the FCCA!!!! :-)

Good luck to everyone working on LS3!!

I am starting to pick at A&P, going to test on June 7th while I wait for the CPNE, but if that week is my FCCA window I might postpone it... hurry up CLEP and get to EC!!! :-)

I have the CPNE study guide printed out, tons of supplies and a little lab set up in my spare bedroom. I have my wound with an arm band on it already and have starting practicing my lab stations.

I am getting my hair did and my new glasses next week so then I will take my passport photos, but so far I have everything ready and scanned for the CPNE application except that and the background check... I have not yet decided whether I am putting in the SPAC and or the NPAC. I am really, really, leaning towards going to New York. I am having dreams of the CPNE already.

Has ANYONE put in for the SPAC and gotten a date for this summer that was not a cancel??

I am in Louisiana and I am thinking of NY as well, just to get in sooner than 5 mos. Good for you in being proactive with the cpne headstart!!

What is with the passport? Can you use that instead of a birth certificate? I lost my birth certificate when I had my certification for surgical assit. exam but I have a valid passport!

I am pretty sure the passport photos have to be within 6 months. I had to do them for my NCLEX-PN too. I think it's just so they know who you are. Here is a link to what you need: http://www.excelsior.edu/scheduling-and-payment

-CPR certification

-2 passport photos

-Background check

-Health physical/immunizations

-Infection control module

I remember someone here saying it took them some time to get them together, so I figured I'd be ready when Excelsior was.... now if I could only figure out how I am going to get to New York....

Now, this is lame....I don't want to re-new my passport when it doesn't need to be for a flipping 2nd photo!! I can't remember how much $$ to renew, but it is not cheap! Plus, mine is good until 2016, ugh. So, no birth certificate...weird. Thanks for posting info!

I will be driving to NY if I need to get ahead of the wait. We just drove from MN to New Orleans last month, save $$$ on airfare and it is a great road trip ;) Need to have a co-pilot or two for sure!

you must submit a good quality passport size (2 x 2 inches), head and shoulder photo of yourself.

they do not need your passport, they need passport size pics. which you can take anywhere, jcpenney even walmart or cvs.....
