Tweety sounds like a productive day

Stars sounds like a tiring day, but I'm glad you don't feel resentful

Did feel a bit better as the day went on, not quite as down.  Did try fasting for the first time in a long time and it went well, might try it again just to see if I can get the weight loss to proceed a little faster.  Work was pretty slow, which was good as I wouldn't have been up to a busy day

After work was fairly quiet too, just exercise and that was about it

Today have grocery shopping after work.

Will be a bit cooler today, in the mid 80s with rain in the morning.  Will be in the lower 70s much of the rest of the week

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day.  Glad you were feeling better.  Good luck with the weight loss.  Fasting makes me too agitated.

Stars, you sure to have your hands full.  Kudos for getting through 4 loads of laundry.

Not much going on here today.  Already went to the gym and got that out of the way so I wouldn't skip it.  I'm fatigued from insomnia again and am going for a haircut and don't think I'll be able to stay awake after that.  I've been up since 4AM and probably fell asleep around 11:30.    My trazodone doesn't seem to keep me asleep, although I think it helps me fall asleep.  Tonight I've already decided to take klonopin to tame my insomnia.  Same story different day.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hello all!

Agree, good luck with the weight loss, Joe!  Are you doing any new recipes?

Tweety, I hope you are able to kick the insomnia to the curb.

Yesterday we went to Disneyland.  Wouldn't ya know, I'd have insomnia the night before??  Yup.  MAYBE got two hours' sleep.  But I made it through the day.  We arrived around 12, and left around 7 (after dinner).  We didn't seem to walk as much as we usually do, but I think that's because we didn't go over to California Adventure.  This was the first day of their Oogie Boogie Bash halloween festivities.  Ppl started showing up to CA Adventure around 3pm, dressed in Halloween costumes.  That park closed at 6pm, only open to those with event tickets.  It was fun to see all the costumes, and the decorations.  Haunted Mansion was quite busy (I think they have the Christmas overlay up).  We only went on the Mark Twain (the Strawhatters were playing on it, for one set) and the train around the parks.  Our other favorite band wasn't playing yesterday.  Dh had neck surgery some years ago, and now doesn't go on any of the faster rides.  So we get our steps in, and gab with ppl!  It was probably 78 degrees most of the day, and a little humid, with cloud cover that was supposed to clear away after 2pm, but it didn't.

Today I will walk with my friend C.  Today is also my sister's birthday.  I am still processing her death (she died in March), so am a little sad today.  One of my sister's friends, who helped clean out her apartment after her death, sent me several boxes of her books.  I haven't opened them yet; I may go through them today, just to touch something that used to be hers.

No Stars, how did Nannie's appointment go?

Have a good day!

Nannie behaved herself at the foot doc's. Got her a sub sandwich on the way home. Since I got her up at about 10 AM, she was tired and missed her after-breakfast-nap. Part way through her sandwich -- which she ate with her eyes closed -- she stopped chewing and just sat holding the last third of her sandwich. Had to wake her up to either finish up the food, or give up the tray! She has been conked out ever since(2-3 hrs).

Now I'm not sure her 'scheduled' way of life --ie sleeping all the time in between meals -- would be a good match for the Adult Daycare. We may have to hire a sitter or an aide a few days a week; going to have to start calling around to agencies (but not today!)

A friend of mine who I worked with at the museum in Nashville called me this afternoon with an offer that might be hard to refuse....but have to talk it over w/ hubby. She has taken in a little itty-bitty chihuahua, 3 year old female, very sweet, weighs 3 and 1/2 pounds, and is a little bit bigger than a guinea pig! It is house (paper) trained and is relatively quiet. My friend has too many dogs right now. She said she thought of me taking the dog because it is "a cross between a cat and dog", the way it behaves. She said she and her hubby would drive it up here to us (they live somewhere in Florida). I am wanting to say yes. We will have to decide, I guess. I'll let y'all know.

They're trying to send me pics of the dog, but so far it hasn't worked on my phone; I told them to try sending them to hubby's phone. Gosh I hope the pics come through on his phone; the more I think about it, the more interested I am in seeing this dog!'

*fingers crossed*
