Stars I agree with NJ22, he's being less than rational when he thinks he can be a dog breeder, perhaps it is jealousy

NJ22 hope your sister can find relief from her vertigo

Dianah and Ado the book was Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng, most of the group liked it although there was one other person who didn't

Tweety I don't think I had a home inspection for any of my cats

Work was not too bad yesterday, though a little busier than expected still not as bad as the previous day

After work did the grocery shopping and then went to book club.  Had 2 new people and a good discussion and time to talk about other things than the book

Today will try to get laundry done either during lunch or after work.  Have our  usual brief bi-monthly meeting with the supervisor, have to follow up with her on the changing standards as I notice my monthly audit was below what it should be.  Annoying how the rules keep changing

After laundry might do a little more packing for the trip,  although it is mostly done.   Haven't planned this trip in much detail, my cousin and  I have just decided on several things we would try and see

Another cool day here in the upper 60s

Haloooooo to all !

NOBODY mentioned the word "dog" at all, last night ,so there were no arguments!

I got a package from my friend with 3 different shades of pink dog sweaters, and yellow ducks printed on what are supposed to be chihuahua PAJAMAS!  And two other sweaters, each of which said "I love my..." One was Mommy, one was Daddy. HUH! (Not sure about that second one ?...)

Still am not sure when the dog will be toted up here, it's just a wait and see right now.

I am cleaning up my room to make space for the pee-pad and another area for the water and food dishes. Pulling out boxes from under the bed to vac under there and replace the old cardboard boxes with plastic storage ones with covers. Also am going to weed out some more clothes which I can't or don't wear.

Welp, the Siesta Twins are doing their usual thing. I've got some laundry going and then I am going back upstairs to my room to continue the preparations for sharing my room with a dog again! I can hardly wait to spoon in bed with her. (Pippy and Moosie both slept that way; Ozzie slept behind my knees.) It will be nice to have a loving creature in this house.

Hello all!

I am excited for you, No Stars, to get this doggo!  We sure love our pets, and hope this pup will fill a niche in your heart!  ?  ?

Dh is doing very well after his surgery.  He has another f/u appt next week, and then needs to get his vision checked in a month, for new glasses.  We'll see how his vision does after a month.  He is reveling in the colors he can see, and how good his distance vision is.

My weekly walk partner cancelled today's walk, so we will plan for it next week.  I will do something else for exercise today.

Joe, did others dislike the last book, like you did?  Perhaps that's why there was time to discuss other things, other than the book?  Re: work, that would be annoying, for the rules and standards to keep changing!

Have a good evening!

Braves just won the Title for the East Division Champions for the fifth or sixth year in a row!  w00t!

Guess hubby isn't really staying on the 'cutting down' plan for his drinking. Yesterday he went and got 2 sleeves of vodka (8 small bottles, I think 50cc each) and he had to get another 2 sleeves this afternoon. That's $20.33 per two sleeves. What a waste of money! ( And two days ago he was complaining about the cost for us, having to feed a dog....like there is ANY comparison!)

So, okay, if he's going to keep drinking himself into oblivion, *I* get to have my new 'used' dog without any guilt. We all have our addictions, and mine will be having a pet again!

Waiting, waiting, waiting to find out when I'll have my dog brought up here.

Stars, I'm feeling the excitement, too. Can't wait to "meet" her!

Joe, I read Celeste Ng's Little Fires Everywhere ehen it was all the rage. I neither loved nor hated it. And I think I might be mixing its plot with another book when I try to remember it but it had a lot going on just by itself.

Today the power steering pump went out on the Jeep while Twin A was driving home from work. "My" car is in the shop for rear brakes and a new heater core. $$$$.

Hubs has given his OK to donate the '92 Honda Accord to a charitable cause. I looked up how to do that and found that NPR and Habitat for Humanity both will take them (and come get them).

We've had a little rain. Today was overcast and pleasant.
