Hello all!
Joe, you are always so kind to respond to each of us individually. 🙂 I enjoy keeping up with what you are doing.
Tweety, how is bowling going? I'm sure you got a good report on your annual physical.
Ado, I hope you slept well, with the Claritin and ear plugs.
No Stars, I am looking forward FOR YOU, to having the M-W-F Nannie-in-Day-Care schedule! I hope the gypsies behave themselves today, I'm sure wearing the clogs helps (yes, shoes can make that big a difference).
nursej22, I hope you are enjoying your new car. So sorry to hear about the SiL's and MiL's health issues. Yeah, I remember being reprimanded for taking too much time off. One kid was sick for a week, then the other caught it. My "boss" was just doing what he was assigned to do, he totally understood that I had to be home with the kids when they were sick.
We should have rain on and off for the next few days. The eaglets are doing well, they will be well-protected by their parents during the storm(s). It is amazing to be able to watch the nest and be "present" for the feedings for the little helpless babies. They are gaining strength every day!
I just completed my license renewal, online. Whew! I took the required 30 hours of CEUs, -- which turned out to be 30 courses, one hour each! -- and then had to enter Each. One. into the BON's renewal page. So, yeah, I'm finally done with that.
We will meet with the band this weekend, it will be good to play together. We are starting work on a new CD/album, of spiritual songs a friend wrote in the early '70s. We have always wanted to record them, and decided we will work on this now.
That's about it from here. Have a good day and evening!
Good evening.
I like that our CEUs are automatically loaded into and we don't have to enter them and renewal is relatively easy.
A tech and an RN called off today. Sickness is still around us. We were busy with so many discharges and admissions I couldn't keep up. I let myself down and a patient that was on the phone said she would take her pills and then I forgot and she must have fell asleep and didn't take them. She chastised me for not watching her take her meds "I'm a med tech and I know this...". I apologized profusely knowing I was wrong but also knowing the deliberately sabotaged the situation. They were not narcotics but an anti-viral.
Hope all have a nice rest of the day and a good day tomorrow.

Tweety glad the gutters at least were finished
Stars that is an exhausting experience, caring for someone with dementia, hope you can find ways to do it while preserving your own health
Ado compassion fatigue is a big issue in our profession
Work was good again yesterday, slow and steady, nothing unusual. Hoping for more of the same today
After work was pretty ordinary too, went grocery shopping
Today should be pretty ordinary too, might do some CEUs tonight
Going to be in the low 50s again, although it will get warmer later in the week
