Sis went in for her heart cath last night at 7. As I suspected, her arteries were clean, so no answers as to why she went into heart failure. I am guessing she will be discharged today. I hope she has the doctor call me, but I’m going for a cardio version myself today so we’ll see. The sky is overcast, I’m about to go for a little run this morning.
We’ve been married 46 years and yeah, things grate from time to time. I’m a little worried about retirement.
Yowie! Here we are at 101 degrees. Kind of stifling. The neighbor who wants the wood from the tree that was cut down some months ago, has finally started chunking the huge, round, fat slabs up (again)....because Hubby asked him if he still wanted it, and he said yeah, he did want it. He'd have to figure out when and get some help...so, today's the day.
Hubby was going to roll the large pieces of the trunk down into the woodsy area at the side of the house, just to get them out of the yard. I said, "DON'T YOU DARE!" With all the health problems he has, the last thing he needs to do is push huge, round slabs of the trunk, which are VERY, VERY TOO heavy, over several yards to where the wood might roll down into a dry creek-bed.
I'm sure it is miserable out there using the splitter to cut the wood, but, as I said to Nannie, "I hate he has to work out there in the worst heat of the day, but if he'd made the effort earlier in the year, it'd be done by now and he could be relaxing with a cold beer in his own AC'd house!" Not sure how much of it he'll get done today, but at least it's a (another) start. Hate to bug someone about it, but it has been there and Nannie's not pleased with it taking up seemingly permanent residence.
We're having BLT's for supper tonight, and they are on the way, so I'll stop here for now-----
Nannie is practically like a supervisor and a surveillance camera. Here is what she's said about the guy taking care of the tree out back: (Instead of paying attention to the TV news):
"He keeps looking down the side of the house."
"__________(my hubby) is out there talking with him"
"There's another person out there who he is talking to."
"There's a woman out there."
"He's drinking something from a bottle."
"She just draped a wet cloth around his neck."
"She's standing over there in the corner looking at him like she is mad about him working so hard."
--------------------------------------------------------------------
and....though it's been on for 12 minutes already: "Did you just turn the TV to the baseball game?" ( I wanna say, "Are they playing a baseball game? Then I guess the answer is 'yes'.")
She's beginning to irk the beejeebers out of me; Guess I better pull on my 'cone of silence' so I can ignore her. GADS!
Eeek! Now hubby is really mad at Nannie! Can't unfold how this came about, as I missed out on the first part of it...But he told her she's acting just like her Daddy, having a "Smart Mouth" and being a jack***. And ooooohwwweeeee! She didn't like that too much! I just kept my head down and my mouth shut.
Ya reckon it's the full moon?
Daily Diary wish there was more people who were family on these forums feels lonely like again the lights are out and nobody’s home feeling
coming where like where I come from feels comfortable to talk and be amongst my family LGBTQ ?️? when I’m on the outs or forced out it’s awkward and clicks a lot of them usually based off labels and such when I dislike labels turn my cans around anything like even a water bottle before drinking King I tear the label off that’s just me call me weird maybe that’s why they coverup those labels on TV with masking tape this way it’s no problem
Someone pointed out earlier to watch Apple TV ?
Any Pirates of the Caribbean fans?

NRSKaren that's a good tradition to have
Another fairly good day at work. Wondering if I can get 3 good days in a row
Took the bike back to the shop, turns out it was as puncture in a different area, just bad luck. Got it fixed again, hope it stays that way
Was 99 yesterday but I was outside and it wasn't too awful. Skipped exercise given the heat, and I was already sweaty from getting the bike to and from the shop
Grocery shopping after work today. Hoping it doesn't rain while I'm shopping. Some rain is possible, and temps will be similar to yesterday
