Stars I imagine the quiet would be wonderful

Ado I hope you can schedule things to accommodate both of them

NJ22 glad there is less stiffness even if the strength hasn't improved yet

Tweety I've tried running and jogging before but I also had issues with knee pain

Work was not too bad yesterday, at least not in the morning.  Had time to get laundry started.  Though with a meeting the afternoon got busy, but it wasn't too bad

Think I'm finally better, the fever only got up to 99.6 briefly before dropping back down, and I slept pretty good last night.  Will wait a day or two before I declare victory

Put on my mask and did grocery shopping last night, otherwise just mostly took it easy

Nothing unusual going on today, book club is having a get together tonight but I decided against going as I'm not completely sure I'm completely well yet

Will be another pretty hot day in the low 90s

Guess what I am doing? Yup, LAUNDRY! Ms. Nan-knee was 'bottomless' when I pulled a wound-up sheet from around her body, to get her up; she was on top of the other covers, so 'we' got everything wet.

She is so anticipatory about her left arm (with cast) or her right wrist (bandaid) that she makes a sharp intake of breath and "OOOH!" when I get within three inches of touching either area. I said, "I haven't even touched you yet!" I wonder if she does this at the doctor's office? I've never seen her or heard her do it when at a doc's office, in all the time I've known her! The bruising of her left fingers is sooooo deep, dark, purplish  as to look almost black. I have seen diabetics toes look like that, but at least her fingers are not dried-up or cyanotic. She is dozing and twitching, and periodically I have to get up and reposition her left hand/fingers so the hand is resting on the pillow and not hanging off in mid-air.

Have no plans other than remaking her bed once the bedding is dry. Guess I will make sure I have gathered the necessary papers for the appt with the personal banker tomorrow.

I just saw BiL walking to and from the shed in the back yard. Momo had buried herself under an afghan, and didn't see him until he came and touched the doorknob; then she exploded with barks and growls! Oh-so-VICIOUS (not). BiL said SiL is out front weeding and chopping down the little trees that try to grow in the shrubbery. He is trying to replace the sliding screen that came off the track.

I looked up on line about changing to Medicaid, but I don't see anything that makes me think it's a good idea right now. I can call my nice insurance agent up in Asheville and ask him what he thinks. I mean, I am about to turn 75 (.that.does.not.compute.) and my only income is SS check. But I am not sure about my PCP....on one questionnaire I filled out said the doc would be accepted , but other sites said no. Then I was told I was eligible for zero benefits, but the more I answered questions, it went up to 8 and then 12 benefits I might be eligible for .... but nothing that 'blew my skirt up" (of course you wouldn't know this: it's funny because I have ZERO skirts in my so-called wardrobe) But the hems of my blue jeans didn't budge a bit, either.

Have I mentioned before how much I dislike adulting? Yeh, I know I have. So I will end this post right HERE > . <

Took Binx back to the vet today because the spot on his lip got bigger/looked swollen. I was so relieved when the doctor squeezed it and blood and pus came out. An abscess, not cancer. She cleaned it up and gave us antibiotics and an NSAID for him. No steroids due to his heart issues.

Hubs brought the boat home to clean it up since it has been sitting in dry dock for so long.

Good to hear that Binx's bump turned out to be easily treated.

Boo to Ms. N for going bottomless.

Joe, that is thoughtful of you to isolate from the book club, with whatever bug you might have. Healing thoughts sent your way.

It actually got warm here today, up in the low 70s. I volunteered at the demo garden, laying down drip irrigation, dead heading roses. Later, I took my carry-on roller bag to dd's house. Eldest grandson is going on a school group trip to the Galapagos. Then youngest son and I went to Costco to pick up dh's prescription, and then had Costco hot dogs for dinner. Thanks to drug shortages, and Medicare, he gets some drugs from the local pharmacy, 2 from Costco, and testing strips from a third pharmacy. That doesn't make a lot of sense, but it works for him, I guess.

dh returns tomorrow from Omaha. I am going to help him with his food bank home deliveries in the afternoon and then to golf lesson. Hopefully, the warm weather sticks around.
