Woke up at 9:45 AM, and was covered with sweat. The AC was set on 72 degrees but apparently this 'lightweight, 3-season comforter' is not thinking this is one of those 3 seasons. It is going to be in the low 90's, and the humidity is too dang high again.
I am feeling pretty tired, so I am going to lean back and close my eyes again. Don't have to leave for the vet's appt for about 4 hours. Then I have to bring the dog home and go to the eye doc appt.
I reckon it is going to be 'one of those days' again.
There is a tsunami advisory in effect, has been since midnight. We are not that close to the water, and because we are in the Puget Sound region, waves are predicted at max 1 foot. Also currents are expected to be unpredictable. The local indigenous people are participating in an annual canoe journey throughout the sound, so I hope they are safe.
Hello all!
It has certainly been eye-opening, to see, first, the massive earthquake (8.7) in Russia, and then to watch as tsunami alerts went out and the waves were followed in their trip across the ocean. That same Kamchatka area (and the Kuril islands, nearby) has had MANY 6 and 7 earthquakes lately. Plus I read that area now has an erupting volcano (last eruption 2023)! Mama Earth, what is going on?
I slept "OK" last night. I woke up to a text that my glasses were ready, so I phoned them and after lunch, went by to pick them up and do another couple of errands.
Not much else going on. It's 96 degrees out, probably 26% humidity. So, it's bearable but I still prefer to be out of the heat.
Have a good evening!
Today turned out rather nice. 76 high, 58% humidity, a little hazy. We volunteered at the demo garden, then attended weed class for an hour. We left around 1:30 pm, and stopped for pizza and a salad for lunch. I picked blueberries yet again. I was hoping to catch sight of a neighbor and wanted to just hand over my pickin's so that I would have to wash them. But alas, no one was out, so they are washed and draining. I only got one side of the row done, but I'll finish that tomorrow.
Dinner will be leftovers. I see 3 different salads in there which will suit me. Dh will likely make himself a sandwich and have some chips. He is doing a Zoom plant clinic to get his hours in to attain his certification.
I really need to arrange to get a hitch on my car that will accept the bike rack. dh seems to resents us using the pickup to transport bikes to the park. I keep forgetting to check the size, doh.
I wonder if ash from the volcano will affect the weather?
Fairly good day with Tinker to the vet. She is 'approximately' 4 yrs old. No problems showed in her blood-work and she has no parasites.Today she got all her shots, and goes back in 3 weeks for some kind of booster (?) I do plan on having her spayed in about 4 -6 weeks. I want to pay down the Care Credit card first.
I am so tired and not at all 'ept' at this moment on the laptop....spending more time correcting the errors I made than getting this typed. So, talk with you'n's tomorrow!
PS The eye docs office cancelled my appt again today!

Work was good yesterday, not too busy, even had time to help others at the end of the day
Rest of the day was pretty ordinary, stopped at the post office, did the grocery shopping, and exercised
Today should be pretty ordinary at work. After work doing a dinner event with the over 50 group
Today will be cooler, mid 80s with rain and storms for much of the day
