S'gonna be 93 degrees with 94% humidity 😳 and rain/storms this afternoon, with intermittent SWEAT 😓 as I am in and out of the air-conditioning and the heat.
I am giving myself 1/2 hour to wake up, drink coffee, and then I will get Nannie up, dressed, fed and given her meds. Then it is off to the Senior Center!
Then the bank, the pharmacy and groceries. Then back home to do MY laundry, the dishes and the trash emptying. Sounds like a fun-filled day, doesn't it? I'll let you know how fun it is, later.
Have a good'n, y'all....
Hello all!
It's *only* 90 degrees today, humidity 27%. I got to sleep after 6am (brain just wouldn't turn off), so slept late. After lunch, I took a short trip for a few groceries, which are put away now. Dh and I also filled the washer fluid in the *new* car, it was completely empty. Since the car sits out (only room for one car in the garage), it gets pretty dirty and I use the windshield washer fluid and wipers frequently when I fire up the ol' gal.
We have been watching the German version of Professor T, on Prime (with subtitles, of course). It was filmed from 2017-2020 (4 seasons), I believe, and is darker than the English version we had previously seen. We have two episodes to go till it is finished, so that's OK, but we usually don't prefer the darker series'. It IS well-done, however, -- impressive. If you like murder mysteries with sub-plots woven in, you might like this one. Hmmmm, what to watch after this? Dunno yet! We will usually watch an episode with lunch and then one with supper.
I had a small package delivered today. I noticed it as I drove up with the groceries and parked in the driveway. The package was sitting on the lawn! Just sitting there! At least it was still there, not stolen by porch pirates.
Yesterday I postponed my jury duty till early November (was supposed to be mid-August --- right when we'd be at the festival!), and as SOON as I clicked on the chosen date, I realized we'd be out of town for another festival, for part of THAT week, too! Online didn't offer any re-scheduling after the one postponement, so today I called the Jury Administration and got a very nice person on the phone. She changed it for me, no problem, to after the November festival. What a huge relief!
Well, that's it from the West Coast. Have a good evening!
G'day!
Dianah, do you pay to get Amazon commercial free? I do although I tend to watch more Apple TV and Netflix.
Nothing much happening. Was very busy at work with lots of admissions and discharges, witchy patients and a nurse that snapped at me when I told her she had a phone call. Apparently I wasn't a fly on the wall and was supposed to know she already got the message she had a phone call. She was stressed and later apologized so I let it go.
Our patients are getting ridiculous in the demands for drugs. Fentanyl deaths may be down but addiction and subsequent manipulative behaviors are alive and well.
Meh......

Yesterday was pretty good at work. Had meeting where I had to do a presentation, so that took some time, but worked quickly in the morning so that it didn't affect my schedule too much. Rest of the day was pretty ordinary, went grocery shopping and to the library and post office and exercised
Today should be an ordinary day at work, nothing unusual, no meetings and no one off. After work will work on an easy dish for a potluck on Fri
Will be pretty warm today, low 90s, with storms expected this evening
