Stars I think as long as you have the time it's fine not to rush to get things done

Tweety I don't think I've ever heard of kamut

Ado they weren't bad, though I found out that there were tornadoes in the area Sunday night too, once just a mile or so from me

Another pretty good day at work, despite the meeting.  Have been working ahead on stuff for next week, so it won't be too crazy once I get back

Did the grocery shopping last night, and worked on next week's shopping list.  Didn't buy much as I'll be away Sun to Tues.  Texted with the cat sitter, one more thing squared away before my trip

Today will exercise after work, might work on CEUs

Will be another cooler day in the mid 80s

Hello all!

Back is pretty much normal now, thanks for asking.

We took oldest ds out for Thai food dinner last night (today is his actual birth-day).  It was nice to catch up.  He got the card I'd sent, with the $$.  🙂

Dh wants to go to Oak Glen or out to Jenks Lake again, sometime this week.

I slept OK last night.  Was awake for probably two hours during the night, but fell asleep and slept till morning.  Dunno why I can't do that EVERY night, LOL!  I will take it, when it comes!

I will check in later, to see what you all are up to.  Have a good day!

95 degrees with a feels-like of 105, and some kind of ridiculous humidity. I woke up feeling queasy this morning, but I know I'm not preggers! 😋

Now it's 3 PM and I am mostly feeling better.

I stayed in bed until 2:30 PM, until it got so stuffy upstairs I had to come down to the den, where it is always cool. SiL came at noon and got Nannie bathed, dressed, fed, medicated, and GONE. So the only "should" I slapped upon myself is that I SHOULD be taking it completely easy today. And that is exactly what I am doing! Only "must do's" were the changing of the underpads where Nannie and Momo had made use of them.

I might have only 3 (or so) more hours to myself before they bring Nannie back, so I am doing nothing but being 'lazy' with a VENGEANCE! 😝.

SiL just called, she and BiL are going to give me a mattress for my birthday (much needed!) so tomorrow I will go to a certain mattress outlet she named, and test-drive a few. Pretty neat, I think! I do love useful gifts more than frou-frou pretty things. She said something about clothes, but I told her I had plenty of clothes.

I bought myself a new purse the other day. If only I was a purse designer I could get the "perfect" purse. I know I've only had two of those in my lifetime! But the one I got was nice; it just needs a few more pockets, one horizontal on the back side of the purse, and one smallish pocket for just keys. I used to use a caribiner (sp? a clip) to hold the keys on my purse strap, but the KIA keys are too bulky for them to be slapping around on the end of the purse. One day I will again find a "perfect" purse, I know, because I always look at them in the stores. The other day I asked the clerk, "Who is____________, that he feels he can charge $387 for a simple purse?" .....Entirely too pricey for me!

We drove up to Oak Glen, and stopped at our usual spot, which has a little store with apple eats and other cute things for sale, and a BBQ outside.  Well, both were closed for the day.  So we drove back down to another area and had lunch at "Apple Annie's."  Then, as it was late, decided just to drive home rather than go back to the Nature Conservancy area, which would have closed in another half-hour.  I will do some exercising tonight, and possibly use the elliptical.  Right now I'm in my comfy clothes, and enjoying the A/C!

No Stars, I agree about purses.  I have certain requirements for the details that add up to a GOOD purse.  Most of the time I just get by with whatever I find is affordable and halfway useable.  Enjoy picking out your new mattress!  And, good you got time off today!

Have a good evening!

We are home from our brief trip to Mt. Rainier. Trails were hiked, skin was sunburned, and insects were mostly repelled. We had very nice weather, but there were tons of people. We usually go midweek to avoid crowds, but there they were. Oh well. It will be nice to sleep in my own bed.
