Good morning!
Joe, I hope you have a good day. I know you're used to snow.
I was frustrated because there was a wreck on the interstate that made me miss yoga class. I decided to try again in the afternoon and made it to that one, but used my pass on the morning class that I didn't attend. This is the third time this has happened lately. Guess it's our busy season but I wish there was a hot yoga class nearby that I didn't have to get on the interstate for.
Getting a haircut and going to see the movie "The Whale" this afternoon. Will do some chores in between.
Hope everyone has a great day.
HiYa, all~ Grey and rainy here; it POURED last night. At least we didn't get the snow that is North of us!
Another day of shopping for groceries, doing laundry, and remaking Nannie's bed after all the wet bed stuff was washed and dried.
Hubby's mad at his daughter. He called her at about 1:30 PM and she answered, "So, what's your problem NOW?" And she said she was trying to sleep. He has rec'd 3 calls back from her in the past 45 minutes, but he won't answer the phone. He said every time she used to call, crying and upset, he let her talk. He said he wasn't going to tolerate her being so flip and mean, and he'd talk to her again when he felt like it.
Counted hubby's meds and he has enough for a month, except for insulin and test strips. We still have to go purchase him undies and clothes for "camp".
My sister is wanting me to go ahead with gathering the papers Nannie will need, to see if she will qualify for placement, etc. I told my sister that I have so much dodo in my wheelbarrow and I can only do a few things at a time, in between everything else I have to do here. I am more interested right now in seeing if I can get things moving for hubby's rehab. She said that when hubby goes to rehab I will have time to look through Nannie's papers, which are everywhere and in no particular order. Yes, if hubby is gone for 4 weeks, I could get a lot done, but I have to get him over there first!
I have stuff in the oven for supper, it will be ready in about 30 minutes.
Half day at work, and now I'm off for 6 days, ahhh. Gray, with an occasional sprinkle of rain. I went for a run wearing shorts and a new running jacket and was plenty warm. When I am exercising I heat up quickly. but when I sedentary, I need heat! At home, I often have a throw over my lap. The new electronic record onboarding is going very slow. The superusers are having to work with each staff person, one on one to get them into the system. I will not have access and Im fine with that. I get to sit back and offer moral support.
Ooh, missing something I already paid for would irk me! Our traffic gets bad in the evenings, and when it floods, cuz there are few routes. And our interstate is only 2 lanes each way, so one accident can clog things for hours.
Joe, I hope you link comes through. I tried an online counselor, who always sent the link about 5 minutes after the appointment time. It's one reason why I decided to go another direction with counseling. I'll bet the snow is pretty, I hope it doesn't mess things up.
Annie, likewise for you too, regarding snow.
Oh rats, reading about Dianah's window wipers reminded me I was going to stop for an oil change (they will change wiper blades). Bah, do I go out again, or stay here under my snuggly blanket? Decisions, decisions...
No Stars In My Eyes said:Tweety, Your sanity, info, and the rest are REALLY appreciated. The post you left on here yesterday, I have read 4-5 times already. I'm going to memorize the words you left about telling him what I expect from him!! Thanks!!
Thanks. I never know when to give my two cents and when to stand in the corner minding my own business so I appreciate you taking it well. I do think I have unique perspective being a recovering alcoholic myself and then having to deal with my ex's and sisters diseases.
Well, Tweety, it's like this: I'm from New England and grew up around a lot of folks who were plain speaking, so it doesn't put me off. Besides, the truth is the truth. I know there have been times when I've spoken out about one thing or another, especially since moving south, and sometimes a person will just look at me and blink, not knowing how to react. But I like your mind, so don't go stand in a corner on my account!

Tweety that does sound cold for Florida
Stars I'd expect him to resist but that he's willing to look into the details of inpatient rehab is good
NJ22 that does sound like a tedious day at work
Ado glad you were able to reschedule the trip
Dianah glad your dh didn't have to go for jury duty
Was another fairly quiet day at work, bit more to do but less unexpected stuff than yesterday. Hopefully today will be quiet as well
After work was quiet too, exercised, listened to music, chatted online a bit. But while a quiet night it felt a bit dull and empty. Wonder if I need to be more busy, or more accepting when things are quiet
Today will be busy after work, with grocery shopping and an errand or two. Waiting on the counselor to send a link for the session, although it may be awhile as the first appointment isn't for 2 weeks
It's snowing right now, the first significant slow all year. Will be in the 30s, hopefully the snow will ease up by this evening
