Tweety glad Waffles is doing OK

Stars glad the recovery is going well

Hi Dianah

Felt a bit down much of yesterday, although by the end of the day it had resolved.  Work was pretty good, got a new case but not crazy busy.  After work was busy, had to stop at the post office, grocery stores, and pet store. But now Christmas cards are done and got gifts for the cat, so Christmas shopping done too

Today should be an ordinary day at work, although I will have a side project to work on. After work should be quiet, will exercise and get started on the gift wrapping

Going to be a bit warmer today, in the upper 30s, some rain now, might get more snow later

Good morning!

Joe, hope you feel a little less down.

Waffles tried to get me up early but I stayed in bed until 6AM and her breakfast time.

It's cold in the house this morning and I bumped the heat up.  Losing weight I think has made me less tolerant of a cold house and to me cold is 74.  LOL

Will do some laundry and meal prepping stuff to get ready for the next two days.

Welp, I am going to have to go to the grocery store as there are so many things we are out of or very low on, plus I have refills ready at the pharmacy. I will just put on the dark glasses the eye doc gave me; they will fit over the eye protector. I'm going to call SiL and tell her what I am going to do just so she doesn't have a cow discovering I have gone out. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Last night I dismissed CG at her usual time, 6:30 PM, and then I left a text or two to SiL but did not hear back from her until 9 PM, when she said she was on her way over to put Nannie to bed. I hope she doesn't think if I have to go to the store, I am okay to go pick Nannie up at daycare this afternoon. Well, we'll see, I reckon.

Anyway, I'm going to get dressed and then call her to let her know my plans. I don't think she'll be able to tote me around today so I can get my errands done.

Life, huh!

BiL will pick up Nannie from daycare today, and SiL will come over at some point in the evening to put Nannie's pj's on her, and I can pop her into bed when it Is time. The CG is going to come over tomorrow to get Nannie up and dressed. Since she worked yesterday, I don't expect she will be staying after that. And tomorrow is SiL's b'day so she wants to take it easy. I don't begrudge her that. But why do I feel that I am such a pain on the a__ when I need something of a break? Some team, huh?

the atmospheric river is hitting hard today. It sort of skirted us yesterday and inundated Oregon, but we are getting it now. According to my phone widget, we had over an inch in the last 6 hours. the county just to the south of us is sending out evacuation orders for anyone close to the 2 main rivers there. We are up on a hill, so no flooding danger here, but many roads will be closed, so we are going to stay put.

I feel like the cold is bothering me, too. The house is set at 68, but I often pull a throw over my lap and/or wear a hoodie. Dh is in his shirtsleeves with a fan blowing on him.

Joe, I am sorry you are feeling down. I often get that at holiday times. I just push through , and try to get out for some light and vitamin D when I can.

I am still working on decorating the tree.

Hang in there stars. Perhaps the in-laws needing to present so much will open some eyes.
