Last night as I had Nannie on the commode and was removing her pants and her incontinence things......this is where I sit on the bath chair to do this because of my knees not liking me standing for this.... but as I was leaning over in the chair and squashed my belly while doing so, quite suddenly and without warning, I had a large wave of Montezuma's revenge. Then as I was getting her into bed and covering her up, another wave of Montezuma's generous rapid egress. Then as I ran upstairs to my bathroom, yet a third wave of the same. And as I sat, another wave. GEEEEEEZZE! Had to put my soiled clothing in a plastic bag, and take a shower, then headed for the Imodium! This morning I took 2 more Imodium JUST-IN-CASE! I am putting my laundry from this 'event' through TWO vigorous washes. 😕
Yesterday I was pretty irked because I had to do 5 (count'em, FIVE) loads of laundry , and wash the bless'ED dishes, and answer and/or explain to Nannie about the news and the commercials ALL EVENING (!) and how they were not talking to her specifically so she didn't have to make any of the calls for which the #'s flashed on the TV screen. I had half a mind to just turn the TV off, but then what....we sit in silence or she starts telling me a long nonsensical story, half the words for which she can't think of.....OY-OY-OY! And then the evening ended in the thrilling way I just previously explained to you.
Though this is a day for recovery, Right now, I have to take Tinker out for her to drag me through the yard. After that....I dunno.
Hello all!
No Stars, WHAT is causing such Montezuma's Revenge effects? I hope the Imodium does its job well.
Joe, glad the day was so manageable yesterday. That's weird about the unavailable CEU tests; I hope that gets cleared up soon (before you forget all you learned, LOL!).
Ugh, another almost-sleepless night! I got to sleep, finally, after 5. So, yeah, I got some hours in.
Yesterday we arrived at the little TV station around 4:30, with enough time for dh's arthritic and trigger-finger hands to warm up on the banjo. Fiddler and bass player arrived around 5:15, and we were practiced and in position by the time the program started broadcasting live at 6pm. We did our two numbers -- one at the beginning, on at the end, and they went smoothly. THEN, after the program was done, the floor manager asked if we would play a few more songs, which they would record and then re-broadcast, inserted here and there in the daily programs. We ended up staying another hour, recorded eight songs. It was kind of a marathon, un-scheduled practice session! We didn't realize it, but we were getting pretty tired (and hungry) by the end of it, which was shown in performance. We initially had to practice a song only once, then record it, then move to the next one. Well, towards the end we kept having to re-do an intro or stop a recording due to mistakes. We finally decided to stop, and make our way home for food and rest. They had pizza and water there from the beginning, but we usually do better if we don't have a full stomach when performing, so we typically don't eat when there. We tentatively agreed to do music for them once a quarter, plus they would like to record some more individual songs they can fit into the day's programming, when they need a filler. So we will need to schedule an evening in the studio, again.
Today I will get a few things from the grocery store (that I forgot to get yesterday, story of my life!!), and rest up.
Coming up: the Southwest Bluegrass Association's annual Christmas Potluck and Jam, this weekend! Our bass player will be there, it is always fun to play with him!
Have a good afternoon and evening!
Good evening.
Ado, what a mess. Poor kitty. But your husband feels bad.
Dianah, sounds like a good time. Sorry about the poor sleep.
Stars, ick to that.
j22, hope you were able to rest and feel better.
Came home and poor Waffles had trapped herself in the guest bathroom. Best friend stayed most of the day to keep up with the q3h drops.. Her regimen is overwhelming. Hope it helps
Work was overwhelming too. They pulled a nurse and made me take patients and the secretary is out sick. Every time I have patients there is no secretary. Bleh.....
Have a good evening!

Dianah sound like a nice time
NJ22 hope your knees feel better
Ado glad you found some respite care for her
Work was pretty slow yesterday, and no one was in need of help, so it was pretty quiet. Was going to do some online CEUs but had difficulty accessing the test to get the credits, emailed tech support to see what the issue is and waiting to hear back
Rest of the day was pretty ordinary, went to the pet store and did the grocery shopping
Today should be pretty ordinary too, nothing unusual at work or after work. Waiting on 1 more gift to arrive before I begin the process of wrapping, which I'm typically not good at
Going to be a bit warmer today, up to the low 30s
