Stars I hope this new caregiver works out

Tweety hope the antibiotic makes a difference

Hi NJ22

Was a pretty quiet day at work, nothing unusual happened.  After work did the grocery shopping and exercised

Was emailing with my cousin, she got the rooms reserved for our trip, and I got the time off confirmed.  We still have some details to work out but we have 2 months

Today should be another quiet day at work unless something unexpected happens. Have a meeting but it shouldn't be too long

Will be cooler again today, in the upper 70s

82 degrees, 96% humidity.......hence the saying,"It's not the heat, it's the humidity!" Supposed to be this way all week and there's a 51% chance of rain in the late afternoons or early evenings. There's also more than a chance I'll retrieve the Nannie-person from daycare around 4:50 PM today....like 100%, God willing and the creeks don't rise. They don't make drones to do Nannie pick-ups and drop-offs. More's the pity.

Tinker has an appt w/ the vet at 2 PM to get a booster shot. I also need to go to Harris-Teeter because they are the only store in town that carries the "GOOD DOG, HAPPY PUPPY" soft lamb and salmon treats. Heck she doesn't chew or taste them, she just gulps and swallows. She is very intent on getting those snacks; the way she hovers for the next treat after she has scarfed down one or two, reminds me of Snoopy sitting on the peak of his doghouse, hanging his head down and doing his "vulture" pose with a certain leer of anticipation for more treats.

I left a note for SiL to wake me up just before she took off with Nannie; I don't really have anything to get up early-ish for, but I just didn't want to end up sleeping until noon and missing half the day and then have to go get Nannie before I could enjoy any time to myself.

And those dern dishes still haven't washed themselves, so I guess I will have to do something about that. If I was disgustingly wealthy I could just pitch all the dishes, cups, glasses, and silverware, and have some more delivered,.

At least I got all the laundry done yesterday and emptied the over-flowing wastebaskets. When they start getting full I have put them up on something to prevent the little Trash Hunter from investigating them piece by piece; that's a sight I hate to see, trash strewn on the floor from the tipped over container. Nothing good to eat in most of them, but she does HAVE TO check, because, after all, she is a DAWG!

So, guess I will scan the news feed on-line and then get up and get dressed.

Six hours until Nannie pick up and then 4-5 hours after that is her bedtime.....although last night she was so uncomfortable and fussy and restless. I told her if she felt that way, WHY force herself to stay up? I said she wasn't going to miss anything, because after I put her to bed, I am also 'going to bed,' (Not going to sleep, mind you, just clearing out of the den!) She finally agreed she'd feel better if she went in to lay down, and it was only 9:15 PM, which made me happy. She wasn't really watching TV, so I guess it was the thought of me still being up that makes her fight going to bed, regardless of how 'bad' she feels. Because what if SOMETHING happened!?? I can't think of what that might be....certainly nothing exciting or noteworthy.

Uh-oh! I am starting feel sleepy again.

Cue Judy Collins singing: "Who Knows Where The Time Goes?"

Oh, yesterday when I was at the store I took a chance and glanced at the price of a not-quite-one-pound rib-eye steak......ARGH!.....$18.57! Jeepers creepers! At least I don't eat steak very often. PHEW!
