Tweety hope the new antibiotics help

Stars I don't think I've ever heard of that particular cure

Hi TMB

Ado it could be just a lot to do, I tend to get distracted then

NJ22 have not heard of that music festival

Work was a bit busier than Monday, but overall not bad

Had to call dad, got a voicemail from his flaky girlfriend that she hadn't been able to reach him by phone. I called the landline and it went straight to voicemail, so I knew it was a phone issue.  I reached him on his cell phone and confirmed that.  Don't know why she couldn't have gotten him on his cell phone instead

Did the shopping after work, then went to the political event.  It was at a microbrewery, which had a band playing so it was quite loud.  My voice is still a bit hoarse from trying to be heard over the music

Today should be a pretty ordinary day, nothing planned after work and nothing unusual after work.  My cousin is supposed to research alternate dates and possible VRBO locations for the Milwaukee trip, hopefully that doesn't take too long.  Keeping my original plans just in case

Will be warmer today, upper 80s, air quality not great again

Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good day at work.

Ado, you sure do have a lot on your plate and gma and the mentally ill relative.  It all adds up

It's really hard not to overfeed little dogs.  My ex swore I was starving our Italian Greyhounds by only giving them a 1/4 cup of dry twice a day.

I sometimes wonder despite my best efforts to eat well and exercise if the stress of being a nurse messes with my immune system.  Certainly my sleep disorder does.  Maybe that's why the food poisoning is lingering longer than normal.  Or maybe there are just more powerful bugs out there.  Anyway enough about that.

Today should be a fairly normal day off.  Have one load of laundry in the wash and one in the dryer.  I wash my work t-shirts in bleach separately.

I'm hoping next week things with my body settle down as I have to take Waffles to her eye doctor and I have jury duty.  Plus working my three days unless I get called to sit on a jury.

Tweety, If your 'distress' would put the kibosh on the jury duty, can't you get a note from the doctor that excuses you? I mean, if you had to visit 'the loo' mid-testimony, that would be interrupting the court's itinerary, so I would think they'd excuse you.

It is 1 PM and I have stuff to do, but here I sit, lounging in the bed. I could shower and shampoo, but that would put me going out at least an hour later and put me off of the other few errands I have to do.  BAH!

I'll get dressed and take Momo out to see if she'll do some business....but if she won't walk in the rain, even with a sweater on, we probably won't stay out long enough for her to accomplish anything.  Then I'll have to go to Wally world pharmacy to pick up another refill, and stuff for Nannie, and dog food, and the usual drinks of which we are constantly running out. (Notice how I did not end the sentence with a preposition? 🙂)

Anyway, time to stop dithering. Tinker is giving me the "look" so I better make an attempt to get her out if the rain isn't coming down too badly at the moment.

Hello all!

Tweety, I hope the new treatment puts the kibosh on your ailment.  If nothing else, I'm sure it's uncomfortable and frustrating.  Enjoy your days off, if only to relax.

Joe, that's a big pet peeve of mine: restaurants with music TOO LOUD, so one cannot hold a normal convo.  When we met the ds's and dil at Din Tai Fung recently, it was REALLY noisy inside, and the decor/design didn't help it much.  The sound just bounced around on all the glass and wide open spaces with edges.  Ds and DiL report that other Din Tai Fung restaurants they have eaten at were much quieter.  Dunno why the one in Downtown Disney feels it has to be so noisy.

No Stars, glad Tinker is adjusting so well, and vice versa!  She'll get you out walking whether you want to or not!

We ended up cancelling LuLu's Tuesday Vet. appointment, as dh found some Abx and started her on them and the bleeding in urine has stopped.  He has put the liquid med in some canned food, which she eats MOST of.  We tried to give it to her by one of us wrassling her and the other injecting it into her mouth.  It worked once.  The second time we tried, dh got quite the gouging from her claws, and she escaped without any of the medication.  We discussed using a towel to contain her, but he doesn't want to make her afraid to get near us.  So, he would rather give her SOME med without injuries, than possibly none, with bodily injury results.  Cats are so difficult to medicate orally.  And we are wimps or softies, whatever you want to call us.  We don't have a reliable method down, that's the bottom line.   Hopefully she will continue to take the med in the food.

We are in a heat wave, with temps in triple digits for a few days, so we are staying cool at home.

Have a good evening!
