Ah, me....
Yeah, Joe, I know hubby won't even LOOK at the list after he sees it the first time. It was just an idea, and not much of one at that. He absolutely, positively doesn't want to do ANYTHING, except drive to the ABC store when it opens. Well, *I* don't feel like doing anything either, so there!
Sprinkling rain, 62 degrees, grey, blah.
Hubby went out to his man-cave (Ford) early this morning. He came back inside around noontime. I got up at 12:30 PM and found him sleeping in his recliner. I had coffee outside, and came back in to get Nannie up. When I got her out to her recliner and seated with her breakfast on a tray on her lap, that's when hubby woke up, got up, and went back outside. He is so withdrawn. I bet he is about to have some more of his 'fortification'.
Somebody mentioned larger bottles of vodka might be cheaper. The vodka he buys comes in a 'sleeve' (cardboard/ 8-pack of small bottles.) and costs $20.33, but I can't think right now if that is for one or two sleeves. When he has the larger bottles, he up-ends them and guzzles I don't know how much; he does the same with the small bottles, but drinks two or three of them one right after the other. I think the larger bottles make it harder to realize how much he drinks at a time. Or not. He may not pay any attention to the amount, but just drink until he 'feels' it.
Braves won 7-4 over the Marlins; another game tonight. Will have to take a Xanax early, because Nannie is so confused and asks so many questions about the game. The other day when Braves played an afternoon game, then we switched to the news, then America's Funnies Videos, and of course, the commercials play one after the other....Nannie was sooooo mentally tangled up and kept talking about "that man" (ballplayer) and "his wife" (commercial), something else on the funny videos, and a real crime detective show about a child being shot through the wall of her house while sleeping. You can only imagine putting those 4 aspects into a jar and shaking it really vigorously, how it might come out. (smh!) She can be so tedious!
This is a most boring, stultifying household, and makes these posts of mine seem like reruns we've seen 470,000 times.
....And *I* don't feel like doing ANYTHING, either!
Outta here..............
Good evening. What an odd day today turned out to be. I started out not getting the Wordle puzzle right this morning and broke my 75 day streak. Grr. I tried to volunteer at the demonstration garden, but got rained out. About the time the team decided to leave, the rain stopped, so I went for a little run. I worked in my garden for a little while, then went with dh to go help grandson with his gardening. I managed to throw my pruners and a trowel into the big garden refuse tote, so had to dump it out and find my tools. The PA at the walk-in clinic called to tell me my little boo-boo is growing MRSA. I had to go get labs, including cultures, and a different antibiotic. My CBC looks good, so I don't need IV antibiotics, so far. I suppose after being a nurse for >30 years, I was probably colonized, but to pop up 4 weeks after a procedure? Weird. Ex S-I-L took us out for dinner as a thank you for helping grandson with his garden and transport to hockey. I had a nice salad called a ranchero bowl with greens, avocado, red peppers, black beans, cotija cheese, pepitos and a cilantro dressing. It was quite good. And I brought home leftovers!
Joe, how unfortunate to get caught between a supervisor and an insurance adjustor. Sounds like you made the best decision possible.
Bleh, indeed, Tweety. I sense you dislike the phone as much as I do.
Nannie's convos sound like my weird dreams. At least I get to wake up and not have to try to make sense. dh was trying to explain some football thing, except he walks around the house talking, in and out of rooms, and I only understand about 1/4 of it. I just nod and say, "wow, or I didn't know that."
Annie, I hope you doggo is feeling better. And your hubby too.
Ugh, I will need to let the cardiology office know about my culture. I am going to try just sending a note and the lab results through the patient portal because that nurse just seems to turn everything I say around.

Tweety glad your team was able to stay in 2nd place
Good luck on your final NJ22
Ado I hope the dog improves with the medications
Stars a list might help, although I'm not sure if he would necessarily pay attention to it
Work was difficult due to a meeting, the catch up stuff, and a disagreement with one of our insurance adjusters. She wanted me to do things one way, my supervisor wanted me to do them another way, so I went along with my supervisor. Which made the adjuster mad, so she complained about me to management, who found our her complaints weren't justified. Which is satisfying although annoying that she was so petty. My coworkers have had similar issues with adjusters in the past. Hoping that things will improve as they bring in newer adjusters who hopefully are more pleasant to work with
Rest of the day was fairly normal. Went for a walk, and went out to dinner with the church group, had a smaller group this time
Woke up early this morning and not sure I quite fell back to sleep, so hopefully I won't be too tired today.
The book club is having a get together at a restaurant tonight, a social event in advance of our usual monthly meeting
A bit warmer today, up to the 50s
