Webcamming: Should I?

I am thinking about becoming a Webcam model to supplement my Nursing income. I can make quite a bit of money and it's really easy work. Will this affect my Nursing career at all?

While I think it's great that you want to do something to supplement your nursing income, keep in mind that the Board sees you as a nurse 24/7.

Employers will look to see what you are doing. If you do anything that is unbecoming a nurse, your employer may take issue with your activities.

Assuming you just are doing simple, tasteful and ethical modeling on a webcam, there should be no problem. However, if whatever is being recorded calls in questions your ethics, that would be a problem.

Use your discretion and make the best choice but remember that you are a nurse 24/7 and what you do and say, even off the clock, does affect the reputation of our profession.
