So the deadline for turning in your application is approaching. Just curious about the competition. LOL!

- What is your score?

- Did you finish all of the pre-reqs?

- Has anyone spoken to Karen and found out what the current "acceptable" score is?

How do they calculate the points.? The only course I don't have is micro.. and I am taking it this fall... she said I get a C for that...

I am taking the TEAS Friday. I have completed all of my preq's and have a 3.78 GPA. I am hoping to get into TCC since that is closer to me but I am applying to Weatherford as a plan B.:wink2:

I applied in the spring for fall classes and had all of my pre-reqs completed. I had a total score of 21. I was not accepted in. I was told 22 may get you on the alt list or possibly accepted but a 23 is pretty much a must to get in for sure. But it all depends on the pool every application period. This time around a 21 may get you in. Keep your head up and remain positive. It is so easy to beat yourself up or second guess ourself.

If you don't mind me asking, what are the pre-req's for Weatherford and can my hesi score be used as an equivalency to the TEAS? How many points are applied to each pre-req and so on, if someone could please break it down for me...I'm looking on Weatherford's website, but it's not giving me any of that information.

I'm interested in how the points are calculated also.

I am just copying and pasting this straight from the ADN flyer that Karen Long @ WC emailed to me. The most points you can get is 26.

Prerequisite courses receive the following points: A=4 points, B=3 points, C=2 points (total points divided by 4 = GPA points)

The cumulative GPA of the prerequisite courses (BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, BIOL 2421, and college level math or Chemistry) must be a 2.5 GPA or above.

3.5-4.0 GPA=5 points

3.0-3.4 GPA=4 points

2.5-2.9 GPA=2 points

Scores on the TEAS entrance exam receive the following points. TEAS scores must be within two years of application date.

Reading Math Science English & Language Usage

90-100 = 4 points 90-100 = 4 points 90-100 = 4 points 90-100 = 4 points

80-89 = 3 points 80-89 = 3 points 80-89 = 3 points 80-89 = 3 points

70-79 = 2 points 70-79 = 2 points 70-79 = 2 points 70-79 = 2 points

60-69 = 1 points 60-69 = 1 points 60-69 = 1 points 60-69 = 1 points

Points for corequisite courses with a "C" or better (ENGL 1301, PSYC 2314, PSYC 2301 or SOCI 1301, PHED, Humanities or Fine Arts elective) = completion of all 5 courses = 5 points, completion of 4 courses = 4 points, completion of 3 courses = 3 points, completion of 2 courses = 2 points, and completion of 1 course = 1 point.
