Hi all, May need a reality check and an ego boost over here. I got tossed in an Anatomy course in an accelerated program a week after it started with out preparation and on week two and have totally bombed three quizzes and 1 lab homework, I'm actually averaging in the 30s right now. I feel like the rug was pulled out beneath my feet because every week it's such an overwhelming amount of information to know every week (around 3-4 chs in Lab and lecture) and as passionate as I am about the human body- I can't catch up. Then again I am a single mother and only have the help of after school programs and still work some. Think there is any way to save the grade or my passion here? Maybe accelerated is too hard for me. Or was it unfair I was placed after class started. *sigh* I'd just like to see one passing grade. Any real tips from past students? I feel like I'm getting a ton of misleading information and I wish some body would be straight to the point without rationalizing.

Hello KdroIt might be beneficial to retake the class if you are struggling. Honestly everything in nursing school is built upon the knowledge from A and P exceptionally the endocrine and hormones. I know it is a hard class it is like taking two classes in onw. However, in nursing school the test only get harderand instead of having 2-3 times a week you have the class once a week for 2-3 hours at a time with clinical rotations on top of it. It is very hard to stay on top of your work there are test almost every week. Not trying to scare you but you definitely need to understand what is going on in a and p to excel in nursing school
best of luck
