WCJC fall 2017

Published

Just got my acceptance yesterday! Anyone else here starting at WCJC in fall?

All they've said is "plan on 8-4 M-F."

I'm excited for school but at the same time frustrated with the lack of info. Alvin gives SO MUCH INFO! It's really nice! And once you're accepted there you get an email listing EVERY STEP you need to take before school starts. So you can go through the background checks, etc at your own pace as long as you do it on time. I feel like WCJC is really just giving out as little info as possible.

I am trying to plan a summer trip and literally cannot book yet bc they don't have the orientation date! Every week ticket prices are going up and now it's looking like we may not be able to afford the trip after all because of this :(

But oh well - hopefully I'll be a nurse in 2 years and will be able to take a bomb vacation!

Yeah I wish we had more info. I guess they are waiting for the background check to come back first?

So I'm rethinking my decision...I am hoping I get in to Alvin because I hate being SO in the dark with WCJC. I am trying to plan a trip to Seattle and ticket prices are going up each week, and they haven't figured out orientation yet! It just makes me nervous to think about starting a program where things seem so last minute...

I know, I'd really like to know more at this point? Have you emailed Lori anymore?

Hey there! I got in to Alvin so I think I'm going to take that spot. Good luck everyone!

Good luck at Alvin!

Can't wait to meet you guys at orientation! We wear our uniforms right?

Hello ladies! I just got accepted into the Fall 2018 LVN program and wanted some information from you guys! Any advice to prepare. Thank you

Congrats! Its hard to do anything beforehand. Or atleast nothing comes to mind. I would say stock up on sleep, plan ahead to ensure you have time to study everyday (I started staying after school from day 1), and find a good study group. I can't explain how much staying after school every day with my study group (or even alone if that's the case) benefitted us. The support from the group also carried me through every hard time! Probably nothing new to hear but it's so true. Good luck!
