WCCCD Spring 2010

Published

It's finally time for all WCCCD potential nursing students to begin the countdown. As you all know today was the last application meeting for the Spring semester. If you applied post here, and when we all receive our acceptance letters post again...

How long should it take for acceptance letters to be sent? Did you take more than the pre-reqs, did anyone take the "co-reqs"? If its not too personal/private post your GPA's for both.

My pre-req GPA was a 3.33 and my co-req's GPA is a 3.88.

:yeah:I wish us all luck and I hope we all reeive a HAPPY LETTER.....:yeah:

Yeah, "late September, early-to-mid October" is what most of us are hearing lately. I just don't understand why there's such a delay that the letters would be going out two months late. I understand that we have "lots of time" to get things done even if they arrive in October, but not really: I have a hectic schedule, so I don't have "lots of time" to get things done as it is! Ugh.

I know, I have ran out of classses to take at wcccd so this semester im just taking chem, ecology, and college algebra. I figure that they will help me once I start my baccalaureate. I really hope they dont wait too long though because im getting anxious and wanted to start preparing myself.

Same here! I'm taking chemistry, math 155/college algebra, and a philosophy class (this one's iffy, since the instructor's apparently dangerously boring! ;)) - and for the same reasons (I'll need them once I go for my RN-to-BSN). I was going to take the semester off (knowing what's coming for me if I get in in Spring), but I feared that if I took another semester off (I don't usually do summer semesters), I'd have gotten lazy by the time spring came. :lol2:

Not bad! I ended up dropping chemistry because the original instructor was sick, and the replacement instructor is... well, kind of crazy. :lol2: How are yours going?

I have heard exactly nothing about the program. Last time I called, I was told "end of September" again, which is either this week or next. I'm still stalking the mail carrier, of course. ;)

Hi Guys:

Should we be looking for certified mail or regular mail? We only have 8 days in September, 7 if you don't count Sunday (since mail isn't delievered).. I wish you alll the best... GOOD LUCK!!!!

My money'd be on regular mail, since I doubt the school would go to the "trouble" of using certified mail.

By the bye, a friend in my Medical Terminology class who worked at the Downriver campus (SS office) but knows people at Northwest told me she heard from someone there that letters before the first week of October are "unlikely." When I asked why they were so behind, she said she'd heard that WCCCD had to lay off/fire some people, meaning there are simply fewer people to review applications. Of course, this isn't first-hand knowledge, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. :lol2:

I got my letter today and im in thank god the waiting almost killed me. So know the stress really starts
