Watts School of Nursing June

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Has anyone joined the NC Association of Nursing Students? They have a seminar coming up Oct 6-9 in Raleigh. Wonder if it would be way ahead of us or maybe a good place to meet other students?? What do you think?

I think it's just a membership assoc that supports all nursing students in the state. There's a national one too.

In fact, I found it on the Watts website.

So I have a friend who is taking her entrance test on Aug. 15th and she is all freaking out about it.....remember when that was us??? When I'm getting overwhelmed, I try to remember what that felt like to just want to be able to "get in"!!

Keyna, I can't believe you have your paper finished. Good job!

I took the night off and watched two movies. The Adjustment Bureau was kinda dumb. Moa's last dance, or something like that was good.

I know, but I cant help it. Nurses are supposed to care about people like me...wheres the compassion. Anyway I just want to get started with real classes. Thanks for the intervention red.

Keyna, does that seminar thing cost $$ and more importantly, will there be food?? Lol

By the way, yes we have plenty of breaks and full use of the kitchen, fridge and microwave! So pack your coolers my crazies... We have very long days ahead of us!

Our first clinicals will be in a nursing home. We get to practice on the poor old folks.

The seminar costs $60 for members and $75 for nonmembers.

I can't remember what it costs to join the student assoc - somewhere around $25-$35. I wonder if we can join since we're not even at Watts yet?
