Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Kenya, it's not looking for that specifically. I think he wants you to take your topic for your final paper - mine is "loneliness in the elderly" - discuss what it is, how it can be helped/addressed and then maybe find some studies that show how it is being addressed in the medical community OR if I were to be a geriatric nurse (now, I mean the patients are geriatric, not ME!!!) how my understanding of this condition might impact how I interact with and care for such a patient.

Does that help? Just imagine IF you were caring for a person at a particular point in the life span - an adolescent boy for example, you would likely be sensitive to his need for privacy and wouldn't just rip up the gown to place a catheter while his mom was standing there! - a sick infant whose mother can't visit, you'd likely hold the baby more often etc.

I wish I were getting better at it .... it's just SOOOO boring to me.

Now, I must go sit in the carpool lane and read 4 boring chapters in the heat while I wait for the babes ... YAY ME!!

Forgot to take out something for dinner. :smackingf Wondering if I could put my meat on the patio and it be thawed by the time I get back ?????

Hey Yall! I figured I'd better jump in and commit to allnurses instead of just eavsdropping on everyone else :D Anyone else in the Math class right now? Have you done your protractor project thingie? I think it will be utterly pointless...but only 2 more classes- yay!!! Looking forward to A & P. Has anyone gotten the textbook yet? Any suggestions on additional study aids?

Hi Gcrunner! It depends on the type of learner you are ... I am highly visual and auditory, so I use flashcards and will get the Memory Notebook for Nursing. Don't know if it'll be for you, but it's worth a look into

Has anyone paid for a membership to the website just so they can upload a page faster than 3000 seconds and get rid of the ads???? Or am I the only one that can fix lunch, do a load of laundry and pet the cat before the new page loads??? Any other slowbies out there?
