This sentence is out of the book: Page 533 bottom right corner.
Still another effect of aldosterone is to increase water reabsorption by the tubule cells, because as sodium is reclaimed, water follows it passively back into the blood.
So it's saying reabsorption by the cells, but then back into the blood. Where does the reabsorption actually go, tissue cells or blood?
Keyna - Water follows salt!! As sodium is "reclaimed" back into the blood, the water follows it passively. Once in blood it can be transported to where it needs to go.
Basically - the glomerulus filters the H out of our blood - sugars, electrolytes, water, etc - but, during reabsorption it takes about 95% of it back. Why? We are awesome!!!
You're so sweet Keyna! Anybody got big plans for the weekend?
I have awesome plans: nurse myself back to health (all the poking I endured today made me feel a wee-bit violated), reading (maybe), hair (maybe), shopping (definitely), drinking (tea & cough syrup), AND get my car inspected (maybe). My weekend is going to be a real
