Watts School of Nursing June

Published

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Good news yall- if this nuring thing doesn't work out, we can go to the information session tomorrow to hear about the joys of becoming a police officer in our great capital! hahaha... can you imagine what an "allcops.com" website would look like?!

Hey GC, yup, still have scissors left! :)

Keyna: at least you know where your baby steth is... Sightseeing! Cut her some slack -taking a little vacay before getting used and abused!

Do you know where my baby steth is? I don't know... NEITHER DOES THE POSTOFFICE!!!! Ahhh! Could she have been abducted? Maybe I should do an "if found contact..." poster board!?! Oh man, this is frustrating!

I was going to order a few more things, but am thinking I will find some other store instead!

Did you know you could have an allergic reaction to the PPD test? Neither did I until yesterday... I am having a major reaction!!! Yikes! Now have to go in for chest xrays.

Oh, no, I can tell Steph to look for yours in Charlotte!!! In the meantime,

posters can't hurt. Maybe we should contact allcops.com and see what they

can do!!

(yeah, I think I'll name her Steph :) )

Yowsa, Lady, when did you get the test, and what kind of reaction??

Awe, I like that name! Think I will call mine ... Lady! ;)

I got poked on monday pm. Well, I hadn't attributed my reaction to the PPD, but apparently low bp and fainting spells are an anaphylactic reaction. Tuesday after class, as I was driving home my bp dropped and almost passed out. Thankfully I caught myself and pulled over (crossing 6 lanes half blind)! Hubby had to come get me. :( Wednesday I had a massive headache, dizzy and wobbly and kept having bp drops. Also having allergy attacks in the middle of the night- itchy nose, throat, watery eyes, etc. Today much better, but still wobbly. Not to mention the pain and redness at the site of injection.

It sux that as nurses we will have to get retested often. I'm gonna have to prep with benadryl next time!
