Watts School of Nursing June

Published

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Lady,

How old are the babies? I say put them to work! Make them unpack their own boxes - earn their keep!;)

I did read 5 & 6, but surely she's not going to make us memorize all the muscles and their origin and insertion points???!!! Any comments??

Ages 1 and 4. Hell yea, I'm a slave driver... The 4 year old helped me unpack her clothes, etc but the attention span isn't there yet... Maybe she takes after mommy! Lol

Well, she didn't ding for every part of the cell or skin, so I doubt she expects us to remember every muscle or skeletal detail.

Are you kidding. It's everything I can do to keep my eyes from crossing each other. I actually volunteered to take out the trash to get a break from tissues and cells. I'm not worrying about the bones and muscles yet.

Jeep,

I'm a bit concerned....can you type? Are you okay? Type "y" for yes and "n" for I'm in the hospital, can't talk now!

Thank god! I thought for a minute I was the only one getting cross eyed with all this info!!

Hey Tar,

I could really use some peanut m&m's tonight.

crossed too are eyes my! fried also brain is my!

Anyone having trouble remembering the active transport processes with the sodium and potassium mumbo jumbo?

Anyone having trouble remembering the active transport processes with the sodium and potassium mumbo jumbo?

i think that the gist is that when potassium leaks out, active transport pushes it back in. the same goes for the sodium- when it goes in, AT pushes it back out.

I wasn't looking at the whole picture, I was focusing on the big pink balls instead of the inside and outside of the cell. I think I got it now. Thanks Jam.

I try to remember NaP goes out and K comes in.
