Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!
No the schedule for the first year is 9 to 3:30 or so, but they arrive at around 8 and some don't leave the building till after 7 or so at night. I guess its where you want to study, but this guy was there during our class!!! I was shocked...I knew that there was a lot of work, but it makes our load now look like childs play. Not to mention they use the first two weeks to grill everyone and make shure that your in nursing for the right reasons. Have you ever heard the saying....Watts isn't really difficult to get in, but its really hard to stay in. I heard that again on thurs night.
Who ever said that I wasn't broke. I'm still trying to figure out the medicaid crap to save myself $600 a month. The art is getting my expenses down low enough to work 16 hours a week and still make ends meet. When your're the soul supporter thats not a lot of dough plopping on the table ifin yous knows whats I means. As for the energy. I was born a ball of energy and I don't even think I've have reached my half-life yet. Yum :yeah:
:yeah:

I can't offer any suggestions, but I had an interesting chat with a guy who just started his nursing program in august and I quote." It's a unbelievable amount of work." I asked him if he worked and he mentioned that all but one of his classmates work part time, and usually on the weekends. There is one lady that works full time, and she's starting to fall behind already. So his advice to me...don't even try to do anything full time except school. I don't know if it helps, but it definitely set my mind straight when I looked at his work and what was expected of them. And they've been at it for almost three weeks!!!!
