Watts School of Nursing June

Published

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Red - I had two references.

GC - And I just can't stand it!!! I proofread in

my real job and it really bugs me to leave it. It's only gas money and a couple

bucks....and time to get it done tomorrow morning...oh, well, what else do I have to do, right??

Red - You don't have gray hair - I love your red! And you have enough

energy for 3 cheerleaders!!

red- I can totally see that you were to head cheerleader!

I was the field hockey/track/swim jock so I just don't think I'm cheerleader material...

Hey, guys,

When do we get to start wearing scrubs to class? I have

a pair for around the house that I LOVE!!!

Think we can wear scrubs once we start clinicals, but think we have to wear a uniform type scrub. They tell us what to get...

Wooohoo, finished 1 pg from Socio paper... 4 more to go!

You go, Lady!!

I figured that was the case - probably hospital issue stuff.

$$$$$$$ Does anyone remember the chatter about how all books and uniforms were included with our Watts tuition, but they were changing that and it would all be extra?? Does anyone know for sure if ours are included or not?? I can't remember.

i asked jh about this a while ago and this is what she emailed back:

the cost per semester at watts will be $6,575 which includes tuition, uniforms, fees, and equipment.

so i would guess that means no books

I spoke with her recently about this... It does not include books. We will have our book list and will purchase however we see fit.

Maybe when we are ready, we can shop as a group from here for a discount...

I wonder when they'll start sending us info, like the schedule, our book list, etc... I would like to have time to research and find good prices on the books.

and "equipment" doesn't include a digital watch and stethoscope that we have to have.

Keyna, I'm really glad to hear that you don't think I have grey hair....hahahahaha!!! boy are you wrong!!!

gcrunner...I'm not sure how to take the comment about "I could see how I was a cheerleader" Does that mean I'm a bimbo airhead?? I was the "trouble" one.... I was a jock too, played volleyball and softballl all through school.

You guys are right about the books, I asked jh also and she said that they aren't included. She said to figure about $500.

Did you guys hear Jeep's story about his wife's first catheter experience?? Too funny!! Jeep, you should share...gave me a laugh.
