Watts School of Nursing ADN?

Published

I am elated to be in the application process for this school.

I wanted to ask others about their experience with Watts!

How are the graduates viewed in the workforce?

Do you feel the overall experience and quality of teaching is worth the extra money? (as opposed to community colleges)

How was the workload? (Of course challenging, but perhaps how many hours a night did you study)?

I am hoping to go into geriatrics and continue onto get my BSN and hopefully MSN. Can't wait to hear of other peoples experiences with this school!

I am so excited to have been accepted, but the financials are stressing me out! When I compare the cost of Watts to a community college, it's difficult to not acknowledge the difference.

The quality of education and the reputation of watts is what makes up the tuiton difference. It is worth it right guys? Just need some re-assurance! Thanks :)

I'm currently a first semester and it is absolutely worth it!

Hows anatomy and physiology going?

Specializes in PACU.

Watts is expensive, there is no doubting that. It is a difficult pill to swallow for sure but it is SO WORTH IT! I am in my third semester, graduating in May and Watts has been both the hardest and the best thing I have ever done. I have made friends I will have forever, I've made connections that will help me when I graduate, everyone always remarks how awesome and GREAT Watts nurses are on my rotation. Area hospitals LOVE THEM. The education is amazing. Even in my third to last semester I am confident that I will hit the floor running as a new RN without a doubt.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! What is it about Watts that makes it so great? It sounds like to me Watts nurses are significantly more refined in the skills area of nursing then many other nursing programs around.

I am very excited to start, just have to send in my enrollment check now
