I have an active RN license in Hawaii and I am applying for license by endorsement to Washington state. I am a foreign graduate and WA state requested for my transcript to be sent directly from CGFNS, school or other state to Washington Board of nursing. I have paid the CES CGFNS to be sent to HI since it is my initial license state, I was wondering if my CES report can be sent from Hawaii BON to Washington BON instead of paying another fee for CGFNS CES re-evaluation? Has anyone tried to have other state's board of nursing submit their CES report or transcript to the state where you want your license to be endorsed to? There is no option on my cgfns account to add a state, it only ask me to submit a CES re-evaluation which is costly and may take more time.

What must I do to request for a license verification?
Quote Verification of licenses can be done on-line at no cost using our license search site at https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/pvlsearch. You or the requesting agency will be able to obtain information such as original license date, license expiration date, license status, disciplinary action, etc. The information downloaded from this site is official license information which state boards or other individuals can download for themselves. If the above is not acceptable, please submit a written request that includes the complete address of the location that the verification is to be mailed to along with a $15 fee (check payable to Commerce and Consumer Affairs): Mailing address:Licensing Branch – License Verification P. O. Box 3469 Honolulu, Hawaii 96801 Office location: 335 Merchant Street, Room 301 Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 Please allow twenty (20) business days from receipt of your request for PVL standard verification reports to be mailed out.

I'd give the Professional & Vocational Licensing Division: 808-586-3000
a phone call to confirm if they can forward to Washington your CES report/fee required as no info on BON website. Quickest way to get an accurate answer.

I have held a US license for 30 years. But, when I moved from Florida to Delaware a few years ago I had to go back to CGFNS for them to send my transcript. I even had a compact license and Delaware is also a compact state. It is a really quick process. Just costs money.
Any update re process to take?
Thanks for the reply! I have called Hawaii BON first to see if they can send the CGFNS CES report to WA, and I was advised to send a written request but there's no assurance that they can send the cgfns ces report to WA. They havent had this type of request I guess. I ended up paying cgfns re avaluation since its the best way to have my transcript sent to WA.
Thanks for followup!

Hi, I am registered with NY state (passed NCLEX) and have a job secured in Washington I applied to be endorsed but had to get CGFNS to send across again. I am worried as I was trained in the UK, even though NY accepted me worried WA might not accept my peds/maternity. Did you have any problems?
I was hoping after passing the NCLEX that was it ?
