It's great to follow your heartYes, it is absolutely possible to switch from Marketing to Nursing, but the process depends on your school's policies and admission requirements for the nursing program.

Steps to Change from Marketing to Nursing

  • Nursing programs have prerequisite courses (e.g., physiology, chemistry, anatomy). See what additional subjects you need to take before applying.
  • Speak to your academic advisor. They can guide you through the transfer process and advise you on whether you need to start over or transfer some credits.
  • Apply for the nursing program. Research different programs and make sure the program is accredited.
  • Nursing programs can be competitive, so make sure you meet the criteria and get the best grades possible in your prerequisite classes.

Consider Alternative Pathways

If transferring isn't possible immediately, you could complete your Marketing degree and then enroll in an Accelerated Nursing Program later.

Best wishes,

Nurse Beth
