I put in in Informatics specialty but no one goes there. :(

I got accepted to Duke for Informatics MSN!!!!! I start in Jan.!!!!!!

    I don't have any formal tech training, just what I have learned over the years as a teacher and a nurse. I am a super-user for our Epic program and have served on committees to help optimize charting and things to make charting easier.

    From what I have been told, it is more about having the nursing knowledge to help programmers write what nurses need. example: when we were first learning Epic, they had written something about health history and adding Coronary Artery Bypass Graft as a "Cabbage". They needed some one to clarify LOL. A lot of it can be data management.

    I am looking forward to it. I have a keen interest in making things easier.
