First time blogger here!
I am finishing up my nursing pre-reqs at Kansas Wesleyan University, and will be entering the nursing program here next fall. I have been hearing horror stories about how difficult the junior and senior years are and it's starting to get me a little nervous- i was just hoping, with all the experience people have on this sight, that i could get some advice on what worked for many of you (studying habbits, things to keep in mind, ANYTHING...). any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi rme_vb2 - welcome to allnurses! :hrns&wlcm:
My first suggestion to you is to spend some time looking around this site. You can save helpful threads by clicking on the 'keep me posted' button above the first post. I have a bunch of them ranging from everything from study tips to best nursing shoes to penlights! You can access them again through your account. Be sure to check out the area under 'region' wherever your school is. I'm in CO and there are chats going on specific to state schools that are very informative.... you should be able to find something similar under your state.
Oh, there is also a great thread titled, 'First day of nursing school'... or something like that, lol. Should give you some ideas on what to expect. I hope that gives you a little bit of direction.
Good luck, and congratulations on your nursing school acceptance!!

1. Get in a good study group.
2. Make sure that you have lab partners that compliment your weaknesses.
3. Get a good three ring binder and separate each class by section. (list your assignments and due dates on the calendars.)
Best of luck!
