Does anyone out there know of any online nursing schools? All I have seen so far are schools for RN to BSN. All I want is a nursing degree. Please help I need direction.

I am a pre nursing student and from my research it seems that the online schools are for RN to BSN or BSN to MS not for the beginner nursing student. I know you can attend a CC or a Univeristy and do online classes for the pre reqs but for nursing school you need to be in class for that...not aware of online courses. Nursing is a very intense course and classrom instruction is a vital part of the program not to mention clinicals:coollook:

My understanding is the same as Coco. I have never heard of a Initial nursing degree online. Only after you have your ADN in nursing that you will be able to progress into a BSN online. The program is intense and you must do your clinicals. Imagine how it would be to get a degree then just go to a hospital work the next day, without ever having seen a patient. Just plane weird. Some things you cant learn by reading alone.
