I would like opinions on which job you would choose in this situation:
Hospital A is in desired specialty, 1.5 hours away (for now), nice benefits but no tuition reimbursement, 8-hour shifts
Hospital B will give me more skills, 45 minutes away, nice benefits include tuition reimbursement, 12-hour shifts (I like), pays $3+ hours more per hour.

I cannot answer for you, but I would choose Hospital B. I am fundamentally a practical person. 1.5 hour drive one way is very long, especially with the 8 hour shifts.

B it tis. Time (spent driving) is money (lost). More loot than A.
Plus, skills equal earnings potential.
Enter your "desired" specialty after acquiring said skills. Then you can write your own ticket.
Good luck

I say follow your heart. You are asking us opinions, but you need to follow your gut. I am guessing you know which one you want, but looking for reassurance. Which one are you leaning toward? it is HARD to get into a desired specialty as a new grad, and if its a hard specialty to get into, it might be worth relocating or renting a room.
Check the reputation of the hospitals too, is there high turnover? What is the nurse patient ratio on your floor? Are you willing to move closer? Is your car reliable?>
