Want to change from ambulatory to hospital setting

I have been out of the inpatient setting for about 15 years but I am thinking that I would like to return to hospital nursing. I worked in a physician practice as an RN fro 10 years, then did hospice nursing for three years which was really interesting and then went back to another physician practice. I had 12 years of hospital experience previously working on a cardiac step down unit mostly. My question is how would I go about transitioning to hospital work? I have heard of people taking refresher courses but I don't know if this would be appropriate for me.

I believe our area hospitals use e care, which we use in the ambulatory setting. I'm just not sure what to do at this pointe in my life, I'm almost 50 and want to work in nursing for at least another 15 years but just don't know where what direction I want to go in for sure.
