Want to book SEC,help needed.......

Dear Friends,

I want to book SEC for Alberta.SEC appointments by Mount Royal University, presently are in progress for June2012.I am not sure,if I will apply for visit visa today, can I get visit visa for that period ie June/July 2012(after almost 1yr) Can we get visit visa,which has validity starting after almost 1yr.

Anyone here in the same situation(whoever booked SEC for Alberta),can you please share your experience.

I need your help...............really in trouble.

If you are looking at 12 months wait I would suggest waiting a bit before applying for a tourist visa.

i want you to elaborate it more.please,tell me how i can book sec at earliest.do you know if i can get visit visa validity after 1yr.i am not sure,thats why need expert advice,if you can put some light on this matter.i have pr application in process,as per procastination,i can not get pr visa before dec.2011(post 26/6/2010 applicant).how i should proceed in this matter & can book sec as early as possible.

If you have a PR application in progress there is no telling how long it will take, getting a tourist visa may be denied as immigration may feel that you will not use it appropriately as you are showing signs of intent to move. If you do go for a tourist visa I would suggest you get as much documentation together to support your return home ie letter from employer etc

Dear Silverdragon102,

Please tell me that,if I will apply today-can I get Visit visa validity starting from July2012,is it possible?

I can support my intention to move back,as I am going alone,my family will remain here,moreover,I have my job here.

Silverdragon already answered your question, if you want it effective July 2012, then it would be better to wait a couple of months before applying.

Also if you are awaiting PR, then I suggest you wait for that as you may not need a visitor's visa to attend the SEC after all.

To answer your question, is it possible? YES. As you need to indicate your intended date of visit in the application. But who can tell for sure? --The Consular office of course.
