Hey everyone!
I'm new here, this is my first post and I was wondering if someone could help me! I'm just about to finish my exams and hopefully go off to study nursing at uni in the u.k but after I've qualified and got some nursing experience I'd love to travel and hopefully come to the u.s, especially Chicago, New York and Las Vegas as I have some family and friends there. Does anybody know if it would be possible to work there with a british nursing qualification? Would I need to take exams or an extra course before I start? I would ultimately like to work in the e.r so could anybody tell me what it's REALLY like and what's expected of you?
I'm so sorry its been a bit long but any help would be REALLY appreciated!!! Thanks so much! xxx :)
lol Ouch!! Please don't think badly of me I'm not that shallow! :) I would NEVER want to go into nursing just to travel! I think if I did I wouldn't last long and would get a rude awakening! It's just an extra opportunity that comes with the job that I want to look into. Thank you for your advice, I've got into contact and am waiting for a reply about the course and its flexibility. Thanks also for your advice about not saying you want to work abroad - I'm not sure that would go down too well!!! Even though I would only want to go abroad temporarily. Thanks again!!! :) xxx
Hey,
Dont think badly of you. I just know how hard nursing can be even if it is your hearts desire, so was a little concerned for your hopes and aspirations if all you wanted to do was travel. I am hoping to go to US next year so I understand.
You'll be fine

Thank you! :) I know nursing can be really tough but I REALLY want to give it my all and try my hardest. I really do think I'll love it! All of your advice has been really helpful and I really appreciate the encouragement! It means a lot.
I wish you loads of luck for your trip to the US! Let me know how it goes if you can.
Thank you again :) xxx
