Wanna know what I'm getting myself into

I've been browsing through the discussion board and notice that many of the nurses agreed that A&P I&II is a very hard course.(I am personally part of the "Anatomy and Physiology is going to make my head explode club" at my school. I just wanted to know if the courses in nursing school is just as hard? Is the first couple of courses are fundamentals(touching up on old stuff) or is it like jumping in the pool head first without knowing how to swim?

i just finished taking all my A&P stuff last semester at UL Lafayette, I found it was harder if you didnt study like some people did. Im starting my first round of clinicals this semster, nursing classes are really completely different from biology, biology requires little or no critical thinking, while nuring tests do. So yes in a sense nursing classes are harder, but its a combination of being overhwlemed for me as well since its my first round of clinicals. Looking back all the biologys and chemistrys i had to take were nothing compared to what im doing now and in the future.

i am in my last semester of an adn program. i can honestly tell you that a&p i & ii were a breeze compared to nursing classes. our first semester was foundations and health assessment. i went home the first weekend with over 14 chapters to read. that's 14 looooooong chapters  . in a & p there is a lot of just memorizing what goes where and what does it do. well in nursing school, not only do you need to know that but you have to know how to apply the information you learn. application is how nursing questions are asked, so if you don't know your stuff, you don't pass. i don't want to scare you but you have to be able to adjust to the fast pace. if you are a quick learner, you will do fine. for me, i managed to work full time and still do the program. if i can do it, so can you. by the way, i made a b in a&p i and an a in a&p ii. my nursing classes...just happy to make cs!!!

Don't think about it because it will make you nuts. Just do it. You will be fine!
