I was accepted to the fall nursing program at the main campus in Walla Walla, Washington.

I was wondering if any other users have been accepted there or have some pointers for me. W

Hi Barbie Hanna

Well as far as prerequisites, they are pretty much the same for any school around here. When applying for nursing programs, some schools differ. Such as how they do their point system, with GPA and some do TEAS test. WWCC does not do the TEAS test, They do a personal letter interview, which I think is better than that TEAS Test. I actually tried to get into CBC and BBCC for 4 years and never got in, due to the fact that they use the TEAS instead of your GPA. So I finally applied in wwcc this year and got in!! I'm so excited. Good Luck!

thanks so much for the info ;)

Hi everyone,

I am finishing up my nursing pre-reqs at Washington State University and getting ready to apply to nursing schools this winter for next fall. Becoming a Nurse has been my dream for the longest time. I've struggled with a few of the pre-req classes but am averaging in the B range. Do any of you know the chances of being accepted at WWCC in Clarkston for their program? My acceptance chances for WSU aren't looking too great and I am very interested in Walla Walla. I'm constantly stressing over this situation so if anyone has any information on it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance!

you are better off going to a big school like wsu or ewu, where they are more professional than a small school. I was kicked out of WWCC (clarkston) I missed the mark by 1% and they refused to grade my papers, they constantly belittled me and I felt it was very low class of them to do so. Unfortunately, they are God down there, so who will be right? you or that cop when he is writing out that ticket? the cop. Anyways, they "mis-stated" on my evaluation, I can't say lie or can I? I had friends in the program that back my statement up as well but to no avail. Clarkston campus is 2 whole buildings, walla walla may be 3 but walla walla is a larger facility so there may be more stuff to do, but clarkston is like a one horse town without the horse. You are right next to lewiston which is fairly active but as far as schools go, you would learn more by caring teachers at WSU or EWU, take it from someone who has been there and have the scars to prove it. They seem to be pretty discriminatory or prejudiced at least they were to me. Half my friends there don't even want to talk to the instructors as they get belittled quite a bit. The lab instructor is really nice though but as far as the other teachers goes, they do ITV between campuses so you are stuck with 5 or 6 teachers between the colleges. Honestly from what I have seen though, I think you'd be happier somewhere else. I even kept my friends on alert as to what they are doing down here and they are nurses already, and they said I am glad we are not there! I would try spokane community college, they just have a waiting list but you do need a 2.5 in the prerequisites
