Hello. Has anyone attended Walden University for FNP or ACNP?

Specializes in ER.

I know of 3 RNs going through Walden right now for their NP. I am at Spring Arbor University.

How do they like it? Do you know if they are having any problems with Walden?

I work with a few RNs who are doing the FNP at Walden. They just started their first semester. It's your typical online program with discussion posts & APA papers. They do quarter semesters. Students are responsible for finding their own preceptors, so even though they're not starting clinicals until 2017, they are in the process of trying to locate preceptors. That's about all I know about Walden. It's hard to find any info on their website (including length of semesters) since they force you in to entering your info and speaking with a rep.

They like it. I guess they have to write a lot of research papers for each class. I do not think they are in the clinical part yet but they are starting their clinical part around the same time. I think their program is shorter than mine but we're both online. My program spaces out the clinical hours so it's 125 per semester whereas most programs cram the 625 into 3 semesters.

Does your University have the AGACNP program?

Specializes in ER.

Nope. They only do primary care at this facility.

I am in my last semester, no complaints about the school.
