I am currently looking at Walden University to obtain my MSN FNP degree. I am located in Georgia. I have researched it extensively and called the GBON this week to verify that Waldon graduates are allowed to sit for national examination in Ga. I haven't received a return call as of yet. Are there any NPs in GA that have graduated from Waldon [or any online school] and been allowed to sit for boards in Ga.??
Thanks so much for your insight! I cannot think of enrolling anywhere until I am 100% sure.

tdr.nurse,
I attended Walden's FNP program, completed it in Feb., took exam thru AANP, and I live in GA...many of us were from GA. My only suggestion as with many programs, start looking for preceptors early because it is quite challenging. Had absolutely 'zero' problems with anything else.... Good luck to you!
Thanks for your feedback NurseMeco! How was your experience with the program? Also, how long did it take you to complete (ASN or BSN to FNP). I definitely feel better about it. The GBON did respond via email and all they said was to contact the national certification board with which you will be seeking certification.
According to Walden website, that is CCNE. (which is good) I didn't see any accreditation from AANP listed. Am I confused on the difference?
Thanks for your help!!
