Wake Tech Fall 2017 start

Published

Hi all! Just wondering who will be applying to the Wake Tech RN program in January, for the Fall 2017 start? I'm finishing up BIO168, BIO175, PSY241 and SOC210 this semester. If I can maintain all As, and get 12 points on my ATI TEAS, I'll have 161 points. Based on the last two classes' initial acceptance ranges, I feel like I'll be an alternate. :dead:

That's great! What was your original overall points? Have you completed are your background requirements?

Thanks! I have 157 points and yes..the background check was due by orientation (May 8th). The other clinical requirements aren't due until June 23rd.

Due date was actually extended to June 28th

Thanks! Didn't know it was June 28th?? When I logged into CB, it had June 23rd..

Oops...just saw it on blackboard..thanks again!

Hey everyone!!! I had a question with regards to sections 4301 and 4302, how is this determined? Also if given either section, is it hard or impossible to choose another. Like if you were given the morning section, could you switch to the afternoon section by just getting approved for it? Also it seems like not a lot of students have registered for NUR 111, looks like more alternates will be called maybe.

Email AJS as soon as possible. More people want 4301 than 4302 so it should be an easy switch this early on. I was in 4302 this past spring and I honestly liked the afternoon clinical/lab better. Remember school is closed on Fridays so you probably won't hear back until next week. Good luck!!!

I got 4302 and I was so happy because I want to have afternoon lab.

Hey Mrslaflin, CNA. I haven't applied yet, but do plan on it for Spring 2018. What are some things you're doing to prepare? Medical Terminology and or dosage calculations perhaps?

Yeah we've been having to read the med calculation book over the summer. We have a test the first day of class. I haven't been studying med terminology but I also took that a few years back. I have worked in different medical fields that may help with that aspect as well.

Hey guys!! I forgot to post but I GOT ACCEPTED!! If you're still waiting, don't lose hope because there's still time to be accepted! They accept up to the 1st day of school. XOXO

Hey guys! Did any of you attend the Med cal review today?? I was there and it was ok. I thought we were going to work in groups or something..at least I thought that's what she said. Also, I can't login on webavisor, but I'm trying to find out our anticipated graduation date under our profile. Does anyone know?

Yeah I was there also, I honestly thought we would learn more than we did. Anticipated graduation date would be may 2019.

Right. I thought SHE would do the problems on the board and we take notes. I could've stayed home LOL! Thank you!! Maybe it's May 4, 2019 bc I've noticed from prior graduations that it's usually the 1st Saturday of the month.
