Hello,I'm an international graduate from Philippines and I was deficient in MS and OB before but because of covid19 I was one of the lucky ones who were given the chance by California BRN and got my deficiencies waived.I took the exam last March but unfortunately I failed the first attempt.  I'm now submitting my application again to retake the 2nd time but I got scared what if they will put my deficiencies again. Is somebody here? If so, how long did you get your ATT after online submission? Were you having problems? I wanted to start studying but my mind is fighting me over that what if I'm not eligible to take again. Please enlighten me.Thank you.

When will your BRN application remains open/ due date? I believe if you failed the first time then you need to book for next test after 45days depending on your ATT validity date.

Hello, thank you so mu BRN retake application says open and it was like that ever since .The initial application says approved exam result. Is it supposed to be something else?I'm just frustrated like I wanted to study but sometimes not because what if they will put my deficiencies back.

I wonder if you got a mail saying you need to pass NCLEX or else eventually your application will expire at a certain date? I don't think your deficiencies will come back if your application is still open.

If you pass the test then you will get your license. Good luck.

Hi friend! Glad that they have waived your deficiencies. I hope mine as well. I am a foreign grad who passed the NCLEX RN recently in the state of TX. Now I am applying for reciprocity to CA.

But yeah, study hard! You can do it!

Hello,

I’m glad that you’re able to take it again. I have a few questions as well. How did you find out that they waived your deficiencies? My issues is a lil different from yours. I’m moving from VA to CA with my husband d/t military orders. The only deficiency I’m sure I will have is Microbiology with lab d/t the fact that VA didn’t require me to take that course and maybe oral communication but I did take COMPOSITION 1 class a long long time ago. I’m very anxious because we’re due to move in 2 months. I have a multi-State compact RN license right now with VA. Thank you in advance for your response!!

Hello, I just sent an email to my analyst asking for re evaluation. He didn't respond but yes he waived it. Maybe try to call them or apply for endorsement if you're interested to work here in California.

Are they still waiving deficiencies?

You are so lucky to waived deficiencies! I'm also overseas nurse and definitely California need to ob/gyn and ped clinical hours. Wish I get waived too. Are they still waving?
