Waiting for NCLEX results

Published

I graduated the nursing program 12/14/10. I was an average B-C type of student that tried hard to study but nursing school was pretty difficult for me. I decided to take the Kaplan course since the hospital I am working at paid for it. I have been working in the hospital for 3 years as a nursing assistant and a year of externship in the ICU. I started Kaplan starting 12/27/10 and EVERYDAY after that I did the diagnostic, readiness and question trainers until the day of my NCLEX 1/8/11. I only did the questions, did not read the book or anything and it was all I used to study. My Kaplan results were:

Diagnostic test-63

QT1-57

QT2-69

QT3-59

QT4-62

QT5-59

QT6-65

QT7-63

Readiness test-69

I did 1 Qbank test with a 62%

ATI (180 question) all med/surg- 71% which said 97-98% chance of passing the first time

I have never really had test anxiety before, but for the NCLEX I have NEVER felt like that before. My heart was racing for four or five days before the test. Then during the test it was uncontrollable. I sat down and took the questions one by one. I thought I was doing pretty well since I got about 13 SATA questions and 1 math. Then question 75 was there and when I pressed the next button, my heart sank when it went to 76. I think I lost consciousness about then. I got to 85 and the screen turned blue. I was so excited when that happened and then a screen came up that said I could take a break. WHAT!? My heart sank again! I took a small break and went back at it. It turned blue again at 90 something.

I went straight home and tried the Pearson Vue trick. It was 10:30ish and a pop up came up that said something about open registration or something. Panic set in. My friend forced me to get in the car and drink a margarita. I tried again at 2:00 and the good pop up came up! :heartbeat I reeeeeeeeeeally hope it is true. I called my school and they are not sending the transcripts up until tomorrow so I prob won't find out until like Friday I am thinking. I am soooooooo nervous! Do you guys think they could have fixed this glitch in their system January 1? I sure hope not! HELP!

Thank you!! The PVT WORKS!!

Congratulations!!! :yeah: I am in Illinois and just got my results today...PASSED!! The PVT worked for me too, although I was blessed with "quick results" in 48 hrs. They were the worst 48 hours of my life. I commend you for surviving the 2 week wait.

:dancgrp:Congratulations!!!!

Hey everyone, I know this is slightly off topic but I have yet to figure our how to start a new thread.

I took the NCLEX in Maryland Friday June 24 2011. It is now Tuesday, and past the time when I finished my test, so it has been two business days, but still when I look myself up on the Maryland BON I have no number and it says pending for passed exam. Shouldnt I have ym results by now? Does this mean I failed??

I did not do quick results so the BON is the only way I have to know. I know its 48 hours for the quick results but no one seems to be in agreement bout when it shows up on the Maryland Board of Nursing Website.

Can anyone help???

We are agonizing because my husband just took the nclex and had to test for 6 hours. He ran out of time at 263 questions. We are soooo worried. Does anyone out there have any words of wisdom. At this point all we are doing is praying. Please God let this be ok. God has never let us down before and I can't imagine he would now, but still scary.

I know how you feel. My husband took the test and is an emotional wreck. He is so worried he failed. He is a very strong man and I have seen him cry several times over the last few days. He tells me he doesn't know what he will do if he fails. It has been a very hard two years of school and he is just worn down. Don't give up hope. Sometimes things happen and we don't know why. Just have faith and pray to God for guidance, as the bible says trust in him and he will make your path straight.

The stupd break pop up! They both fired my damn SA nodes really good! lol
