Waiting on a letter from Yale(GEPN) and Columbia(ETP)???

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Hello fellow hopefuls!! I was just wondering if any of you are waiting on a interview letter for Yale's Fall 2006 GEPN Program or Columbia's Summer ETP program???

The waiting is unbearable!

I am also waiting for Vanderbilt's letter, too, but I don't expect that one until next year some time...

Also, anyone who has been recently accepted or turned down for these programs (last year) can you please shed some light on when you received notification?????

THANKS!!!!!!!

LovingPecola

i received my letter from columbia yesterday and i was accepted!!!

yeah!! :roll

has anyone else heard?? i think we will hear from yale next week - ugh!!

good luck to everyone!!

Oh my gosh!! Congratulations Krystellmarie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think my notification will be arriving tomorrow-oy vey. That is so awesome--good luck with yale, I think we should find out this tuesday or wednesday. Who knows, maybe we will be classmates this fall!

:balloons:

Bics -

Yes, I hope we are classmates in the fall!!

Which program are you leaning more towards??

congratulations krystell marie!!!!!!!

i'm still waiting, but of course i'm not in the immediate area!

at the current moment i'm leaning towards whichever one accepts me!

:rotfl:

In all honesty, if i get accepted to yale--that's the one. columbia has not been very helpful, and since the programs are similar i figure what the heck, ya know?

which way are you leaning?

I'm leaning more towards Columbia (maybe because I already know that I got in). :chuckle

I applied for the Anesthesia program at Columbia and the FNP program at Yale. I am almost 100% sure that I would rather do Anesthesia....

What a life altering decision!!

Wow KrystellMarie! It never occured to me that anyone would apply for different program specialties! LOL Those are soooo different! What do you like or dislike about each one? I would guess Columbia would probably make sense for you since if you don't like the Anes. program you could probably switch to FNP, but Yale doesn't have a Anes. program so you would be "stuck" in FNP...

I hope we get calls tomorrow.......

Whooo-hoooo!!!! I just got my letter from Columbia and was accepted!!!

it feels good to be loved.....

(Krystell this is you and i having a beer)

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

lovingpecola-

yes, they are very different. i have always dreamed of going the crna route, but didn't really think that i would have the opportunity. i want to do a direct-entry program because i am extremely motivated and know that i want to become an advanced practitioner. i was surprised to find out that columbia allows us to apply to the crna track directly, i haven't come across any others like that. i think that i would really enjoy yale and becoming a fnp also. it is tough because we have to choose before we really have a chance to check out different pathways...

bics -

cheers right back at ya!! :biere: (what are we singing and who passes out?)

do you think yale will call tomorrow??

good luck to you both!!!

Yay Congrats Krystell and bics!! I just found out I was accepted to Columbia too!! :) Bics do you think you're going to go?? I still haven't heard from Yale... but I think it's going to come down to johns hopkins and columbia for me. I'm having Such a hard time with this and I have to decide SO soon. Any advice??

Congrats again. Maybe I'll see you in May!

Wow! Ok the list is growing...I feel left out! Maybe I'll be able to post tomorrow??!!?? Arrrggghhh. LOL It sucks to live so far away...

Yes, I bet Yale will start calling tomorrow (They said they would)!

Nervous, nervous, nervous...:uhoh21:

Congrats mvd737!!!:balloons: I have no idea now that i have that lovely little acceptance from Columbia in my hand. I feel like I know nothing about Columbia due to the fact that they don't conduct interviews and have not really answered any of my questions. If y'all choose Columbia, what would be your reasons?

good luck lovingpecola!
