Well, it has been six long months. All the paperwork, passing MEPS, waiting, waiting, Chief Nurse Interview, more waiting.....now the time has come. My packet has been sent to the board and I will find out sometime in November if I have been selected as a candidate for NTP in the AF Nurse Corps. I am so excited!! If I am selected, then the next step would be to graduate in May, take the NCLEX, get commissioned, and then off to COT I will go, probably sometime in August of 2008. My recruiter has told me he believes I will be selected based on my GPA, interview, etc., and the chief nurse I interviewed with told me that the interview weighs heavily on the selection process and she put me down as a select, soooooo...I just have to wait. Wish me Luck everyone!

Hey Jazzy! Good luck to you! I've been waiting over a year now...finally going to board right now also. I am an RN already, with graduate degrees, but it has been a long process! I need to do NTP because I haven't been clinical in a few years. Willing to do it though. Can't wait to finally get the word!!!
Keep us posted. I will do the same.
