Waiting for CA NCLEX results

Please enlighten me on the usual waiting period for the California NCLEX results to arrive by mail in the Philippines. I took the NCLEX exam in Hongkong last Feb 2 and up to now, April 9, I have not yet received the results. Please help. Thanks. - Meyo

hi there, i was wondering if you could give me any info about taking the nclex in HK. I really dont have any idea. I've looked at the website of ncsbn and I cant find any info. Any info would be a big help. Thanks.. By the way I'll be praying for you.

Have you registered already in http://www.pearsonvue.com ?

You can read the handbook of pearsonvue or vist their website for instructions on how to register. Then you have to call up the 1-800 specific for Philippines located under contacts in the website if you want to schedule.

I have a friend who took it Feb 14 and the mail from CA BRN reached her home only after 3 weeks. Better email or call up CA BRN to find out.

Does your account in pearsonvue says Test Delivery Successful? If it does there were no problems from pearsonvue's side.

Hi, if you wish to take the nclex exam, you need to decide first on which state you wish to apply. Then, you go to the board of nursing website for that specific state to know their requirements regarding licensing. For California, for example, open http://www.rn.ca.gov. There you will find the requirements and steps to applying for a license in California.

After that, you will download their forms (1 type for you and 1 for your school) for the Authority to Test. You will need to ask also (by email) for the fingerprint form which they will send by mail. You will send the forms (the school will accomplish and send theirs independently) back with your payment and the fingerprint form together with your payment to the board of nursing of that state. After this, wait for your approved authority to test.

After your approved authority to test, you can now pay and schedule your nclex exam with a third party company whose website is: http://www.pearsonvue.com.

I hope you will succeed. One final advice: if you wish to go to the US as fast as you can, read the other threads in allnurses.com that suggests states such as New Mexico where the processing is faster than in California.
