I have applied for nursing school
and I am losing my mind waiting by the mailbox. I feel confident that I should get into the program and I feel this is where God has put me for a reason. But still I am so anxious I can't even think strait. What do you do to pass the time while waiting for the letter?

Welcome to allnurses. It seems that this post may be in the wrong section. This is a specialty section for nurses who work in schools.
Hopefully the moderators can move this so can get better response

I am in the same boat as you as I am currently awaiting the news of being accepted. It is not easy because you have to make adjustments to your life if you get accepted like working out daycare issues and work schedule, so it can get frustrated with the wait. What I do is read a few of my old textbooks to keep my brain fresh, and read pertinent posts on this forum. I think it does help to alleviate some of the anxiety. There really is a lot of mixed emotions when you are waiting, and the closer it gets to receive letters the more nerve wrecking it gets,
Hopefully you wont have to wait much longer, my school doesn't send out letters until late April - early May; and because I am doing the bridge LPN to RN I actually have to wait to see who fails before we get accepted, so we get our letters later than the students who are doing the traditional 2 yr ADN.
I know its hard but keep it together and keep thinking positive thoughts.
